FAST FACTS

1985 Founded as a non-profit foundation to address a national
crisis in Peru where the city of Ayacucho was devastated by
a civil war against terrorism that left many children
orphaned.

1,979 Number of children in Ayacucho who have been cared for by
AEA to date. They received a home, proper education, basic
needs and the inspiration to become upstanding citizens.

300 Number of young professionals who have graduated with a
technical / vocational degree from AEA youth homes and
gained the opportunity to live independently. (This program
began in 2002)

94 The total number of children who live in three orphan homes
AEA helps fund.

36 The total number of young adults who live in youth homes
also funded by AEA.

$105K Funds raised by AEA Miami in 2018 and sent to Ayacucho.
