Dear Parents & Grandparents, ‫עמו“ש‬ Rabbi S. Segal, Menahel Klali
Rabbi Y. Zelinger, Rosh HaYeshiva
It has B”H been an exhilarating year so far… the learning,
davening and overall ruach of our boys have been nothing Mr. Lester Klaus, President

Yet there were a few moments not too long ago that will forever be engrained in my
mind as the ultimate in “moments of growth” that I have merited to see in YTE. From the close to two hundred notes

A levaya befitting this great man was going to take place in the Yeshiva in which he so faithfully served for over
fifty years. Where else should it be if not here? Amidst the flurry of preparations needed to be done in the short
time that there was to arrange the proper kavod acharon, there was a very uncomfortable task needed to be taken
care of. As Menahel, I now needed to go into each classroom, from young to old, and inform them that it would
be impossible – for both technical and emotional reasons - to have the much anticipated mesiba that day. It would
have to wait until we got back from the break. I dreaded the job and braced myself for moans and groans and lots
of “It isn’t fair!” - all expected and typical reactions from young boys - especially when the loss is of a man whom
they did not merit to know…

I could not have been more wrong. Not a word of complaint… not a peep of protest… our boys understood.
They accepted the verdict like grown men. I was always proud to be their Menahel - but those few difficult mo-
ments truly “took the cake”!

Dear parents – shep nachas!

May we only share in simchos together and merit to see our children continue to grow in every which way!

Well recently, the boys were given a Middos

the day and “capture” their friends doing one of
these middos they learned about. The results
were “picture perfect”! They found boys sharing
