The Cat

Written & Illustrated by
Nur Ariani Razali

One day, Tiana was walking by a road.
While walking, Tiana heard a cat meowing

from the bushes nearby.

“Meow
meow”

Then, Tiana was looking and searching the cat
by following the meowing sound. After a few
minutes searching for the cat, Tiana found

the cat was stuck and needed help getting
out.

When Tiana reached out, the cat got
scared. The cat tries to attack Tiana.

Tiana was panicked.

Oh my god, “Meow
What should meow, meow

I do ? meow”

Tiana walked around near the drain and
searched for something that can be used to

help the cat get out of the water.

Tiana has found one branch.

Then Tiana takes the branch and
runs quickly to help the cat.

Tiana put the branch down into the water to
help the cat. But the cat was scared and
scratched Tiana’s hand.

Tiana screamed in pain but didn’t back
down. She tried again and again even as
the cat continued to scratch her hand.

Auch !
It’s hurt

A few moments later, Tiana saw
another passerby.

Just let it be ! The
cat will find a way
to come out later

Tiana ignore him and keep helping the cat
which almost drowned in the water.

How pity
you, cat !

Ten minutes later, Tiana finally brought
the cat out from the water. Tiana was

very happy.

Once she let the cat free, she told the
other man, “ The cat is an animal, and its
instinct makes him scratch and attack. I

am a human and my instincts make me
compassionate and kind.”
