This course helps me to understand how to
arrive at a new location with appropriate gear,
attitude and completed research. I able to
assess what I want to photograph, why I want
to photograph and what I think I might like to
do with the photographs.

Not to forget, I would like to express my
gratitude towards my mother who are always
by side in completing this task and also to my
lecturer, Ms. Nur Akma Halili for guiding me
throughout the process of this task making.

RUMAH SARAPAN

Rumah Sarapan is perhaps a rare Malay cafe in Sungai
Petani uniting customers from different races for its local
and modern breakfast.

Rumah Sarapan is Malay words which literally means
Breakfast House. As the name applies, the cafe only opens
for brunch, from 7:30am to 11:30am daily and is closed on
Tuesday. Located next to Parkson in Taman Sejati, the
Malay cafe serves toasts, English breakfast, Mee Kari and
Indomie to name a few.

The highlight of the
menu was Nasi Lemuni
which is a specialty in
northern region with rice
cooked in a way similar
to Nasi Lemak except
using juice from Lemuni
leaves rather than of
coconut milk. Even
better, turn the nutritious
dish into Nasi Lemuni
Special (RM9.50) with an
added Ayam Masak
Merah. Note that the
delicacy is only available
from Friday to Sunday.

The food stall are owned by Pn. Roshadah Hussain has been
around for over 30 years. This food stall was a hereditary one passed
down to her by her father.

Mee Udang Mak Cun are located at Seri Bayu Restaurant in Kuala
Sungai Baru near Kampung Pengkalan Bujang. The food stall is right in
front of the fishermen's boat 'parking' place.

Its view are suitable for those who want to feel the ‘kampung’ vibe
and breezy air as it is located under the big tree and surrounded by
wide paddy field with the scenery of Gunung Jerai.

The place are famous for its freshly daily-picked seafood and its
reasonable price. Their dishes are cooked upon order therefore it is
serves when it just come out from the pan.

drama was recorded in
Kampung Sungai Baru and Mak
Cun's house is also in the area
near Restoran Seri Bayu a.k.a
Restoran Mak Cun.

The most demanded meal are
Mee Udang (price are according
to the size of prawn/squid/crab)
and Nasi Goreng. They also
received other lunch dishes order
but need to request and booking
earlier as the only provide a
freshly seafoods.

Searching for a cool place to hangout? Try the Potlepak
restaurant located in Laguna Merbok Town, Sungai Petani,
Kedah.

The restaurant is quite spacious and comfortable with
beautiful decoration adds a sense of comfort when in the
Potlepak restaurant. Its open daily from 4.00pm till 11.30pm,
and close on Friday only.

They served western food and also homemade recipes
with a reasonable price, the portions are also quite
satisfying.
