My Life as a
Monarch Butterfly
By: Justin Robinson
Early caterpillar days
I started my life when my parents where on there way
back home from winter vacation in Mexico
My mom left after she laid me on a leaf
I started to eat my shell about four days after I was
born, then I moved on to eat the leaf
The journey begins
It's around late summer early fall now and my only job is to
reduce
But it's also time for my to start heading to my winter house,
but I can never decide if I want to go to my house in Central
Florida, or California
Believe it or not i’m super excited to travel 3,000 miles, I
decided on my house in Central Florida
That way I get to meet new people on my journey
I have to make this journey because I have it get to
cold due to the fact i’m cold blooded
After three whole day of traveling I made it to my
home in Central Mexico. You might be wondering how I
made it this far, but I can travel using a combination
of the air currents and thermals to get here.
Maybe others live in the same tree complex as me,
which is fun.
Winter Vacation
I spent the whole winter break reproducing down here. I’m
just trying to do my part so that my kind does not go
extinct
I've been eating milkweed this whole vacation, I think it
taste a little better down here then it does in northern
america
Return Journey
Its know early spring, and it's time for my to head back. THis will
be the last time I see my winter house so it pains me to leave. I
will live the rest of my days in my summer house. I always make
sure to stop by the White House Rose Garden on the way home.
Finally home
I am finally home after a long flight. The thing I hate most about
traveling such a long distance is that i'm going with so many
others everyone wants to stop for food at the same time, that
means I barely get any.
The food back home taste very bad like its been poisoned. I only
have a few weeks to live anyways because the humans are
about to tear my home down.
