Dear teachers and fellow students,

I feel privileged to lead such an exciting and vibrant school, which offers great opportunities for the young
students of Sebaru. It is our goal to make each and every student to succeed. We offer our students the best
possible opportunities to become confident, thoughtful young people who are prepared for any future
challenges, in an exciting and increasingly global world.

Highly Immersive Program HIP Sebaru is a program to educate English Language to all teachers and students
and also to the community nearby. Many activities has been introduced to help improve the English language
proficiency among the school community. In addition, Naurah Khadijah binti Rohaidzat has been appointed as
an ambassador to introduce HIP Sebaru and our Voice of HIP, Aira Khalyssa Binti Muhammad Izzuddin has set
the voice of our pupils to be heard.

And a special thanks to Mr Luhen who is in charge of this program.

In this good opportunity, I stand here to congratulate all the teachers and community members for their effort
towards the programs organized. I sincerely hope this HIP Program will help to create an English-speaking
environment for all the teachers and students without compromising the fun element in English language
learning.I also would like to dedicate my appreciation especially to the English language teachers and students
involved and all the teachers of SK Bandar Baru, who with open heart gladly cooperated for the success of this
program.

Therefore management, teachers and the community will strive more to provide a learning conducive environment
which enables children to self-enquire and explore their talent and bloom to their fullest potential.

Dear Members of Highly Immersive Program,

Being the Highly Immersive Program Coordinator is about having the trust of all to organize and represent
the school community with honesty and enthusiasm. I felt the honour to build an English-speaking
community of continuous learning practices across the school, involving all departments as appropriate.

This gives me so much pleasure to facilitate the long-term development of HIP activities and learning at a
structural and systemic level besides being able to translate the school’s vision for creative learning into
practical implementation.

It takes so much gratitude to coordinate, in partnership with the NGOs, National Foundations, International
delegates and creative practitioners, school staff and other partners too. Besides being reflective to ensure
that external partners engaged in the programs are able to develop appropriate communications across the
school community, I made sure that the pupils play a meaningful and active role in learning that can truly
reflect their interests, needs and enthusiasms.

My aim is to let the pupils’ voice be heard and their talents and interests to be shown. I realized that being
the Coordinator of the Highly Immersive Program is a challenging role but I want to excel knowing that I have
done something to change this school for the better. Being in the role requires a lot of sacrifices, hard work,
tolerance and gratitude but with the help and cooperation of the teachers, parents, students and the whole
community, I assure that we will be able to live up to the expectations.

Dear teachers and friends.

HIP SEBARU provided us the opportunity to share our thoughts and ideas, start a discussion on certain topics, make new
friends, and polish various social skills. For example, public speaking, story telling, book reviewing and creating and editing
our own videos.

In the past year, we talked about the various events in our multicultural Malaysia, such as Teachers Day "Thank You
Teacher!", Parents Day "How to Thank Your Parents", and Environment day "Celebrating the Environment Around Us". We
also reviewed the books that we have read "My Heart says Book", and I got to talk about Hansel and Gretel. This was a lot
of fun.

The last year was also very challenging for all of us. Because of Covid 19, we could not go to school, we cannot play during
PEs, we cannot meet friends and teachers, and our classroom lessons are generally disrupted. Even at home we cannot go
to the local libraries and dine in restaurants. I am proud of how we all rose up to the challenge, making the best possible
effort when times are difficult.

Personally, this is especially challenging for me because I am new to the school. I am grateful for the opportunity given by
HIP SEBARU, especially Sir Luhen who believes in me and encourages me to go above and beyond. Cikgu Seri Banun
supported my needs in class, and I am very grateful to her. Bonda Norzakiah particularly is the glue that holds HIP and other
programs together.

I couldn't have done this without them. Thank you.
