If you running for president
❏ must be a natural born citizen of the United States
❏ a resident for 14 years
❏ 35 years of age or older
If your running for vice president
❏ must be a natural born citizen of the United States
❏ a resident for 14 years
❏ 35 years of age or older
If your running for Senate:
❏ age (at least thirty years of age);
❏ U.S. citizenship (at least nine years); and
❏ residency in the state a senator represents at time of election.

Five Principlas of Government
Federalism: is a method of government that allows two or more entities to share
control over the same geographic region.
Separation of powers: is a doctrine of constitutional law under which the three
branches of government executive legislative and judicial are kept separate.
Checks and Balances: was to make sure no one branch would be able to control too
much power and it created a separation of powers.
Limited Government: bound to specific principles and actions by a state or federal
constitution
Popular Sovereignty: is the principle that the authority of a state and its
government are created and sustained by the consent of its people through their
elected representatives
