Where is God?

We search for God everywhere, some says God is in the temple, some says God is in the mosque, some says he is
there in the church and so many others places . Thousand minds with thousand Gods living in thousand places!
Yes, indeed God is there, somewhere probably watching us. We call him all the time especially whenever we are facing
problem, or during the time when we seek that “peace of mind” or to say thanks for having a good time. But can anyone
confidently depict how does he look?

We assume that He created the universe or She is the universe Herself. Realistically, we have no such proof- we can
probably only experience. However, you have all the scientific proof of your “birth” in this beautiful world.
Have you ever recognized who helped you taking your first breath in this world? Have you ever realized who fed you
your very first drop of nutrition to stay alive? Who has taken care of you in the “physical realm of reality” all those hours
since the very first day of your life? Who helped you to take your early steps, to learn how to “communicate” and
thousands of all other activities you do now?

Yes, you are right... That’s “your parents!”

They are the ones who always support you in your difficult times - “practically.”
They are the ones in this whole universe who must actually be treated as “Your God,” whom you can see and reach
whenever needed. Since your birth, you are secured by their unconditional love, sacrifice & support.

I have never seen God, but yes I believe in him and that makes me believe more in the fact that “our parents” are
actually the impression of the “God.” So “Our God, our parent” who gave us “life” and teaches us the morals by which we
can realize our humanitarian responsibility.

So, now I can say  “Yes I have seen God”! "

“sarvatirthamayi maataa sarvadevamayah pitaa
 maataram pitaram tasmaat sarvayatnena pujaye”

 It means:

"Mother is (the embodiment of) all pilgrimages, father is (the embodiment of) all deities. Hence,
mother and father are to be revered with all efforts."

Ariana Chaudhury Art
Description :

Pottery is considered to
be one of the most iconic
element of Indian regional art.

Not just its history,
but its exquisite beauty and
chic features have made pottery
a modern form of Indian decor.

This pot was made by
Ariana by using Pottery Lite App.

Shreya Chaudhary (13 Years) created
this Mandala using Adobe Illustrator

and Photoshop.
Description: Mandala is a complex
abstract design that is usually circular
in form. In fact, "mandala" is a Sanskrit
word that means "circle". Mandalas
generally have one identifiable center
point, from where an array of symbols,

shapes and forms are created.
Mandalas represent the connection
between our inner world and outer
reality. Designing your own mandalas

can be both inspirational and
therapeutic.

The Efficacy of homeopathy

Hrishikesh Sen

Note: Candid viewpoints of an octogenarian layman (not a doctor) who could closely observe
a good number of stunning cures achieved with Homeopathy; his conscience bites him to place
before the eyes of the people, specially those concerned with the children’s health, the truth
which he had the fortune to clearly witness and realize.

Homeopathy suffers irrational contempt: Rapid changes occurring in the lifestyle of the common
people are forcing them to resort to quick fixes conveniently available in the orthodox medicine; they
hardly feel any dire necessity to explore the supreme potential of Homeopathy –a permanent
restoration of the health. Because of this major social change encompassing the entire common people
of working-age groups in the current generation, all the functionaries of current healthcare parlance
have become oblivious of the brilliant credit achieved by Dr. Hahnemann and his followers.

The sceptics and ignorant attack the infinitesimal feature of Homeopathic medicine; they
ridicule the ultra-refined potency and trituration as frivolous substances and they practice a quackery
with water. A misgiving has been created; utterance of the name of Homeopathy makes the listener
reproaching. Before hurling such mockery, they should know that through six consecutive editions of
Organon, Dr. Hahnemann considerably reduced the quantity for each dose and his painstaking empirical
research established beyond any doubt that the reduction of quantity (along with other alterations) has
brought phenomenal improvement in the efficacy of the Homeopathic medicine. His popularity as a
doctor reached the peak during his stay in Paris where he compiled the sixth edition of Organon. Thus it
can be safely concluded that the contents of the final Organon were precious and novel.

Analyses of stature, erudition and practice success of renowned Homeopathic physicians like Dr.
John Henry Clarke, Dr. Constantine Hering, Dr. James Compton Burnett, Dr. Henry Lindlahr, Dr. William
Boericke (who were staunch followers of Dr. Hahnemann’s Homeopathy) as well as the published
records of cures achieved with Homeopathy (British Journal of Homeopathy, Monthly Homeopathic
Review, British Medical Journal, The Hahnemannian Gleanings) indeed speak volumes in appreciation of
the supreme quality of Dr. Hahnemann’s Homeopathy for protecting human health.

In this context, it is significant to note that the provincial government of Ontario (Canada) has
recognized Homeopathy in their heath care system and in the recent past a collaboration agreement
has been signed between AYUSH, Govt. of India and Ontario Homeopathic Association for improving the
standard of Homeopathy in health care.

Kindness

Ariana Chaudhary

Kindness is something that can never be broken
No matter how strong the force is
Kindness is something that is very special
Which anyone can apply to a situation
Kindness is something that everyone has
No matter how mean they might be
Kindness is something that can be your friend
Even if you're the most lonely person in the world
Kindness is something that will never go away
Even if you have no friends
Kindness is something that solves your problems
No matter how big or scary it is
Kindness is something that may not be a something
Because kindness is a someone

Moon Shadows

Ariana Chaudhary

Moon shadows are dancing on the snow
So chilly but our friendship still goes
I'm blind but I can see
How kind you are to me
The moon is white and shining
And the snow is soft and chiming
You are my family and my friend
And your heart has a never lasting end
A pair of sunglasses to stop the teasing
And a vanilla bean to state your meaning
I was once nervous about you
But now I'm so happy I meet you
We are so different but alike
We hate the sun and love the night
And as the moon shadows dance on the snow
You are my light and I will always know

When we talk about Bengali culture, mostly we talk about foods especially fish and
sweets, arts, festivals, attire etc. Often we miss another aspect of Bengali culture and that
is love for SPORTS. Yes we have given ‘Dada’ to India. Even beyond him we are still
debating whether Virat will break all the records of Sachin or not.
However we have another craziness which connects us to Goa and Kerala and rest of
the world! The Adrenaline packed Game of Strongs, Soccer.

When Bengalis run out of East Bengal VS Mohan Bagan club matches, those very supporters don’t
shy away from pretending to be Brazilians and Argentinians and actively participate in FIFA world
cup as Supporters .
Not only Maradona, Pele, Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham are household names, individuals don't
hesitate to be on the ground (or even on road) when there is a ‘Call of Sporty’. And we did the same
in San Antonio. The urge to respond to the call of sports is so natural and strong that many of us
don't even hesitate to get up early in the morning on weekends and drive more than 50 miles!
We do play other games like cricket, badminton etc. too and are inviting everybody including
other community members thru this column to be part of this journey, and experience the joy
and good health, together.

Here are some Adrenaline rush moments from the game and Endorphin euphoric
moments after the game.

San Antonio will witness the Total Solar Eclipse on 8th April 2024, less than 7 years from now.

Numha, the Little Boy

Once upon a time may be around 73 years back, there was a country - full of natural resources, numerous varieties of birds
and other animal species, several sky high mountains, lush green grasslands, countless rivers and water bodies with crystal
clear fresh water and vibrant aquatic ecosystem including hundreds of different species of fishes. People used to wake up early
in the morning being alerted by chirp and cock-a-doodle-doo. Sounds which they never disliked the way we do the sound of
alarm clock today.

.

Life was simple yet meaningful, dreams were achievable, food was
100% organic, and supplies were cent percent recyclable, significant
portion of transport was on renewable energy!! Kind of the ideal world
that we seek today. Learning mechanism was mostly empirical in nature,
and was based on gathered and remembered knowledge over a period
of more than 5000 years, big data  indeed!  The organized intuitions were
only supplementary, knowledge was available everywhere, to everybody
from everybody. Yes, it was distributed redundant knowledgebase.

During that era, a little innocent looking boy Numha was growing up in a
village at the foothills of mount Yalihama herding and tending cattle,
most of the time holding a narrow dried small bamboo stick.
Unlike other cowboys, he never hated his monotonous job,in fact his mind
was synthesizing a bit unusual idea about it. He was enjoying controlling 31 cows.
And to everyone’s surprise, that very thought was inception of the upcoming change
that the country was about to witness.

As he grew up, so did his dream. He was not happy merely controlling cattle anymore, he then wanted to guide and control his
fellow citizens, his village, state, rivers, mountains, forests… the entire country! One by one, step by step he marched forward,
indeed chasing his dream, crafting his way through the forests, the mountains, the rivers and sometimes through the crowd! As he
marched, his desire balloon started showing sign of malignant growth.  As he moved ahead, he kept behind marks and residue of
the dirt of the wheels of his victory chariot! His innocent looking face turned into not so pleasant looking  because of physical and
mental scars. Regardless, he considered himself very successful to achieve his goal, the goal to control everything. A lot of credit
he gave to an unknown astrologer whom he met during his teenage. That astrologer recommended him to rearrange alphabets of
his name and one of his favorite mountain’s name without discarding any of the existing alphabets, to be successful! He did change
his name and name of mount Yalihama. Was he superstitious? Yes, if he was a failure. Success often eclipses truth. A country
habituated with empirical knowledge sometimes overlooks sample size, concludes prematurely and gains knowledge just by
witnessing a few successes as well!

70

So what was his new name?  Well he is now known as Human, the supreme controller of everything, everybody. He has
witnessed society to progress from bullock cart to aircraft, to embrace advance medicine, high-speed trains and cars and so
on. He met so many scholars and gained high level knowledge about many topics.  For years, he was like a king and was being
revered as godman.

 …………………………………………………

Years later, Numha alias Human, due to some series of events lost everything except the idea that he would be controller of
everything. However, he is old now; does not have vigor, vitality and financial strength to regain his position. He does not have
home or proper food”.

One day, thirsty and starving, he found himself
wandering and stumbling
on scattered plastic water
bottles at bank of polluted river
Muyana, looking for a
few drops of drinking water and
eventually he falls down.
Being extremely dehydrated,
his eyes roll over and
he starts hallucinating.

He sees an angel while hallucinating, exactly resembling the face of his childhood - the innocent one, the little Numha. He smiles,
and calls the little angel: “Who are you?” The angel does not answer, rather asks another question: “Tell me what do you want?”
He says, “I want to regain control of everything.” The angel roars with laughter and then calms down, and looks at him for a while,
then politely says: “Controlling everything? You were not even in control of your own life.” He exclaims: “What do you mean?”
Angel says: “Let me explain with some recent simple examples that you may understand.” Angel goes on and says: “Do you
remember going places in cab? The driver was controlling your car not you, at least he was listening to you but other drivers on the
road were masters of their own car at that time. You were not at all controlling the situation then, by chance there was no accident
and you are still alive. When you got your gallbladder stone removed- the surgeon, the anesthesiologist and the anesthetist were in
control of your life. Whenever you flied, you always surrendered yourself to the pilots! Well these are just external examples. Inside
your body every moment things are happening without your control - the fight of the immune system with the pathogens, the
instruction pulses through the nerves that control every organ, the continuous clearance of the cancer cells from your body. A little
accident within your body also can make you dead and the control system for that is much more complex than air traffic control
system.

So my beloved Human, I can’t help you regain what you never had. However, I grant you power to Give.”

The angel gradually disappears and says while disappearing - “I will come back again to hear from you how did you lose
everything.” Eventually Numha alias Human regains his consciousness, becomes overwhelmed, and finds himself crying, tears
flowing through and cleansing his dirty cheeks. Little later he realizes that moments ago he was looking for a few drops of water,
still thirsty and dehydrated, however, now his eyes could produce several drops!  Angel’s boon was probably real!!!!
