Alumni Insights “There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there — you must go beyond them.” – Bruce Lee Success is achieved not by chance but through hard work, dedication and diligence. Having a growth - focused mindset and being willing to put in efforts towards achieving high standards is vital for success. The Maurya School cares deeply for the success and growth of its students. To promote this message, the school organised an informal conversation with Srishti Manglik, an alumna of the school. Srishti has achieved great success in her career. She is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in English & Philosophy and has recently been selected by IIM Ahmedabad. During the conversation, Srishti highlighted that her success was not achieved by chance, but through dedication, hard work and perseverance. She informed students about the scope and career paths opened up by an MBA program and highlighted that students must start working towards their goals early in life, even if it means going beyond their comfort zone and taking up challenges. She mentioned that platforms like Linkedin, Internshala, etc. are useful in getting hands-on information about latest and upcoming opportunities in one’s respective interests. To conclude, this discourse provided a golden opportunity to the students to make concrete decisions about their future and learn about the business environment in the corporate world.

Theaterama 2022 The Maurya School celebrated its Annual Day Function ‘Theaterama 2022’ with the theme ‘Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with a blend of great ‘Chanakya’ on Saturday, 03 December 2022. It is a grand occasion every year where we celebrate and recognize the school’s as well as the students’ achievements. It also gives the students an opportunity to showcase their unique talents. After enjoying the rhythmic beats and songs by the students, the Principal, Dr Shalini Bajaj extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, Chief Guest – Mr Abhimanyu Singh the famous producer of films, television and web shows, and parents with her words of wisdom. The function was inaugurated by lighting the lamp followed by ‘Ganesh Stuti’ the inaugural dance. The Mauryans beautifully embellished the stage with their astounding performances on Ramayana – ‘The Rama Gatha’, ‘Jeet ki Reet’ – a tribute to the corona warriors, and motivational dance – ‘Never Give Up’. Students presented the Annual Report through ‘Chronicles of Maurya’ which was the next gemstone in the crown. This was followed by ‘Fit India Hit India’ showcasing a glimpse of all the sports activities like - yoga, karate, swimming, gymnastics, etc. happening every day at school. The value of sports, which normally is taken for granted, was beautifully presented through dance and music, bringing a sense of gratitude towards sports. In order to give recognition to the school toppers, alumni and teachers, various awards like ‘Maurya Pride Award’, ‘Maurya Academic Excellence Award’ and ‘Maurya’s Best Mentor Award’ were handed over. The second part of the celebration was rather breath-taking. The Mauryans betrothed the stage with their marvellous performance showcasing the intellect ‘Chanakya’- famous for his ‘Chanakya Niti’ followed by a foot-tapping motivational dance ‘Sholey’. The props and costumes added colour to the celebrations. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal, Ms Garima Manglik. It was indeed a truly mesmerizing show which concluded with the the National Anthem, instilling a feeling of inspiration and togetherness.

Parichay Experiences in the field of sports help to build positive self-esteem in children. Playing various sports not only helps them learn life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience and self- confidence but also prepares them to face life challenges bravely. Keeping this in mind, 'Parichay - The Talent Buzz’ which was an interschool sports competition was organized on 22 December 2022. The event gave youngsters a chance to display their sports skills, while learning from their team-mates and competitors alike.

Spectrum 2023 “No other culture on the planet has the variety of weaves that India has.” Our country, India, epitomises the land of rich culture. It is one of the most religiously and ethnically diverse nations in the world. To glorify such sundry heritage, our school celebrated Spectrum 2023, the Annual Exposition based on the theme ‘The World of Indian Mythology’. Students across the school participated enthusiastically in showcasing various themes based on the topic. A plethora of activities like role plays, skits, songs, dances, models, games, etc. were staged in front of the exhilarated audience. The show turned out to be a huge success as each parent watched the wonders that the children unveiled in their classrooms. The rooms looked as pretty as pictures and truly represented the ethos of the era. The exposition left the parents awestruck and mesmerized. It reached its zenith as the message of faith, truth and dedication percolated each and every mind. Here are the glimpses of students engaging proud parents through their pleasing performances on the topics The Victory of Good Over Evil, Pratham Pujniyay Ganapati, Ramayana Ki Kahani, to name a few.
Mike Marshall rightly said “Victory is in the quality of competition, not just the final score”. Keeping this in mind, The Maurya School organised an Interschool competition ‘The Sports Fiesta’ , for the students of Grades KG to III on Saturday, 14th October 2023, on the theme ‘AAHVAAN’ . The event included various fun races like Hurdle Race, Hoopla Race etc. The kids participated enthusiastically and gave their best. Winners of different races were felicitated with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with certificates. AAHVAAN - The Sports Fiesta
Kriti- The Craft Bazaar To embrace the values of righteousness, love and truth, The Maurya School celebrated Dussehra under the title of ‘Kriti 2023 - Dussehra Celebration’ on October 24, 2023 in the school premises as the annual feature of the school with remarkable enthusiasm and convivial ambience. The program started with ‘Guru Puja’ followed by selling and buying the extraordinarily exquisite craft items prepared by the young artisans from all the classes. They exhibited a great team spirit and love for vocational art work while preparing those articles. A great crowd could be seen gathered at the food stalls as well. The event was graced by honourable, renowned Mr Navratan Agarwal, the Director of Bikanerwala. He visited all the stalls and lauded the efforts and dexterity of the students and congratulated them for putting up a great show. At the end, the effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkarn and Meghnath were burnt. Overall, it was a day packed with lots and lots of jollification and a learning of evoking a warrior in all of us to conquer evil to establish goodness.

Leadership Camp Leadership Camps, including Day Camps and School Trips, is an important aspect in the life of students and hold a special place in their heart. Many students get their first taste of relative freedom or independence during such camps. This is an important rite of passage and has a positive impact on their personal development, building their confidence as they step out of their home environment and comfort zone. Such outings facilitate team building and bonding between classmates. Inclusive Education Here are the words of wisdom from our therapist along with pictures showcasing priceless moments with the students … Fostering the model of inclusion in our school has always adhered to the strategy of “including our special need kids” in every frame. Be it the classroom environment or outdoors like sports, bouncy or generalised play, our kids can be observed everywhere. Our teachers are trained enough to make the physical and behavioural modification as needed by the kid. Each child’s intervention plan is critically devised based on the areas of deficit. The goals for every child are based on overall development of the child including academic areas as well. Analgrating the strategies of occupational therapy, applied bahaviour analysis, speech and language and play as the base, the goal is to make a child habituated to an environment as anyone and it is done via individual sessions, interventions within class and training teachers simultaneously for each child. Students with special needs require more training, education from the teachers along with support, compassion and acceptance to reach their full potential. We ensure to provide the same to our children.
