Chapter 1 : The Introduction “The murderer is …… ” ,said the detective. Once there was a rich family that lived in the neighborhood since the 90’s. Stevenson’s family was one of the oldest families living in the neighborhood. Booker, who was the only heir in the family after his father’s death, is living with his mother, Emily and their butler, Alfred.
Chapter 2 : The Beginning of the Case One day, Booker is having his lunch prepared by Alfred in the dining room. All of the sudden, he felt an excruciating pain all over his body and fainted on the floor along with the bowl of food he was holding. Emily heard a loud thud from the dining room and quickly rushed to the dining room to check on him. She found Booker lying still on the floor and called the ambulance right away. The ambulance arrived at the scene after some time but it was too late for Booker, he did not make it. The paramedics saw the food residue on the floor and noticed a puddle of vomit beside Booker’s lifeless body, which they suggested Emily to send Booker for an autopsy to find out his actual cause of death, and the food residue to a laboratory for a test, both of which are very suspicious.
Surprised at what the paramedics said, Emily called the police for an investigation. When the police arrived, Emily was there to lead them but found out that Alfred was gone. The police searched the scene for suspicious objects or clues which might have something to do with Booker’s death pending the autopsy and lab reports. However, the police could not find any evidence on the scene which may be related to Booker's death so they decided to ask for help from a famous detective in town named Orpheus.
Chapter 3 : The Arrival of the Detective After some time, the detective, Orpheus, arrived. He and his trusty assistant, Maya, went into Booker’s mansion to investigate. They immediately headed to the dining room, the place where the death of Booker happened. Orpheus and Maya were well equipped with equipment to assist the investigation. They began searching for useful evidence. Subsequently, they found a trail of suspicious residue left on the ground, when they took a look closer, they suspected it as a very hazardous liquid metal, called Mercury. Mercury can cause fatal damage to the organ, numb or dull pain in certain parts of your body (this also explains why Booker was on the ground) and vomiting. They collected the samples of the substance and put it in polypropylene bags.
Chapter 4 : The Basement While collecting the samples, Orpheus found a trail of dirt leading into the basement. He then proceeded to follow the trail down into the basement. It was unilluminated and mucky. He was shocked by what he had seen.In front of him was a self-structured experiment laboratory, there were tons of reagent bottles containing precarious chemicals including Mercury , Ammonia , Potassium Cyanide and many more. On the desk was a bottle of opened Mercury. It was soon to their realization that the cause of Booker's death is the Mercury in the reagent bottle. After some hours of investigating, they soon ended the investigation and headed home.
Chapter 5 : The Results However, while they were driving back to their office, they received a call from the coroners that the result for the autopsy was out. Orpheus pushed the pedal to the max and rushed there. At the morgue, they found out that there was a hint of mercury inside of Booker’s body. Soon to their realization that the cause of Booker’s death was by Mercury and the samples that they collected is now a key evidence.
Chapter 6 : Wanted Once again, Orpheus and Maya headed to the laboratory to find some evidence. After another 15 minutes of investigation, they found a fingerprint on the apparatus which was on the table so they decided to send the fingerprint to the law enforcement agencies for further research. Finally, the report came out and the fingerprint they found, turned out that it belonged to the butler, Alfred who was already gone to nowhere. “The murderer is Alfred !” , said the detective. The police department listed Alfred as wanted in the country for the murder of Booker. Days after days, Alfred was still nowhere to be found.
Chapter 7 : The End Until one day, Alfred was found hiding in an isolated area which is near the border of the country. Alfred was arrested and sentenced to life in prison for lifetime. After knowing Alfred was being sentenced to life in prison, Emily realized that the reason why Alfred poisoned her son, Booker. It is because Alfred hasn't gotten rich since he worked for the family from the beginning and he thinks he deserves more so he decided to poison the only heir in the family to get the heir. Emily thanked the police and the detectives for solving the cases. In the end, Emily takes over the only heir and passes it down to generation to generation.
