PROJECT 1 PROJECT 1 (A) TEACHING AIDS IN LANGUAGE TEACHING For this project, my group and I decided to think outside of the box. Since there are already too many games such as Snakes and Ladders and Monopoly, we wanted to create a game where it is attractive and flexible where we can use it for every topic and every skill. Hence, we decided to make our own gumball machine. In the machine, we put a different colour of gumball where it can represent different things depending on the activity in the class. It took us approximately 3 days to create this educational game. From buying the tools to creating it together. We also painted the gumball machine with bright colours which were pink, yellow and blue to attract the students. Since we are now in the 21st century, we also implemented the 4Cs in our educational game. As for the lesson plan, we chose a topic from the Form 5 textbook which was “Life’s Great Mystery”. I found that by cooperating and discussing together, the task that I thought was difficult at first became easy hence I am very grateful to have my groupmates. PROJECT 1 (B) TEACHING THE 4 LANGUAGE SKILLS For this project, my group and I have decided to use Canva as our ESL blog. The topic that we chose was “Wonder of Nature” from the Form 3 topic. As we had to create 10 activities based on the 4 skills, my group and I divided the tasks evenly. My group and I also created the blog and discussed how to make it easy for the students to learn at home. Hence, some of our alternatives where we put QR code in the listening skills questions to make sure the students can listen to the audio many times, created a WhatsApp group and also created Google Drive for submission. Overall, Madam Nirmala was satisfied with the blog and I felt very happy as Madam complimented my group’s work. I felt that all of our hard work had paid off.

PROJECT 2 PROJECT 2 (A) MOCK TEACHING For this project, it has been assigned as an individual project where everyone needs to do 3 mock teachings. Each of the mock teaching will cover every 2 topics that we have learned in the class. For the first mock teaching, we had to do the set induction and include teaching aids. The second one, we needed to include the stimulus variant and questioning techniques during the activity with the students. Lastly, for the third mock teaching, we must implement reinforcement during the closure. I chose the topic “Journey” for my mock teaching and focused on Adjectives. When I did the mock teaching, I can see that I have improved a lot. Madam Nirmala gave lots of useful tips during the class. From the body posture to how to properly write on the whiteboard. I have also managed to improve my skills. The thing that I am proud of the most is I became more confident to stand in front of the class. My peers from other groups assessed my mock teaching videos and gave feedback. Their feedback was very helpful and I hope that I will use everything that I have learned during my internship. PROJECT 2 (B) E-PORTFOLIO For this portfolio project, I have been writing it from the first week of class until almost at the end of the semester. I am very proud of myself as I attended all of the classes without any absence. I realised that by writing this portfolio, I can recap back all the topics that I have learned before without any problem. This portfolio will definitely be a huge help for me during my internship in the future. As I am not a creative person, I designed this portfolio the best that I can. At first, I wrote all of the portfolio and put the pictures on Google Document. Then, I compiled them by using Canva and converted it into a flipbook as I found that is an easier way for me. I will definitely write more during my internship to see how much I have grown and improved.
