Discover Famous People Throughout the Ages! on the first day of school on August 19!

Each weekly session of Camp Minimac was themed based on famous people and their amazing
contributions to the world! Our kids learned about world-class scientists, dancers, authors, chefs,
musicians, artists, and more! Special guests were the highlight of each week—Whether it was a live
magic show, hip hop dance class, African drumline, sports courses, or The Bubbleman (always a
favorite!)—These kids had an enriching and meaningful summer. They came home exhausted, but
always happy and excited for the next day ahead! We love Camp Minimac!

Looking forward to the upcoming 2018-19 School Year. Can’t wait to WELCome you home!

Temple Docent Program

The Temple is always seeking new docents to share our story and show off our
historic sanctuary to local and international groups from churches, synagogues,
and schools. If you are interested in learning more about our docent program
or becoming a Temple docent, please contact Joya Schmidt at 404.873.1731 or
[email protected].

Zaban Paradies Center News

Although our Residents have not been staying at the
Center since the end of April, you probably have seen
a number of people in and out of the Center. That
is because we may not house people over the sum-
mer, but the learning doesn’t end. There are regular
sessions for alumni of our program who come for learning and support. If you
would like to learn more or see a session in action, please let us know.

We are deep in the midst of planning and work for the new season, which
opens on October 15th. We want to thank the Rothschild Social Justice Institute
for its ongoing support. This summer there are plans for a redesign and rebuild
to our clothes closet.

Our amazing volunteers are in the midst of recruiting volunteers to prepare
and serve meals during the season. If you are interested in providing lunch,
please go to our website, www.ZabanParadiesCenter.org and sign up for an avail-
able lunch time. You can also contact Robyn Ripps, [email protected] for
more information.

If you are interested in providing or serving dinner, please contact Bea Feiman
at [email protected], or Sue Lubin at [email protected] or Bobbi Wilson at
[email protected].

For all the amazing work that our volunteers do for ZPC, we are still are in
need of financial support to make our Center the top quality program we all
want. Please consider making a gift to ZPC or let us know if you would like more
information about specific opportunities. You can also email Randy Gorod, our
Development Coordinator, at [email protected] or go to
our website.

We hope Rabbi Berg had a great sabbatical. Even if it was short, we look for-
ward to having you back. Thank you for all your support and leadership.
