Quick Start Guide (Mobile Token)

The intent of this guide is to quickly walk a user through obtaining, registering, and using their Symantec VIP
mobile device token. If you are unable to use a mobile device token, or need additional help with the
installation, please click here.

Step 1: Download the Token

To download a token do the following:

1. Open the web browser on your mobile device and navigate to https://m.vip.symantec.com.
2. Click the “Download Now” button. You will be transferred to the App Store where you

can download the FREE app to your mobile device. This app will serve as your new
token.

** Requires an iTunes/Google Play Account

Step 2: Register the Token (Downloaded in Step 1)

To register the token do the following:

1. On your mobile device, open the VIP Access application. (will be used for registration)
2. From a computer, open a web browser and navigate to https://vipaccess.dana.com.
3. Use your Windows username (similar to [email protected]) and

Windows password to log in. ** It is important to include @dana.com
4. Click “Continue”. An email will be sent to you providing a security code. Use that

security code to finish authenticating to the web site.
5. Click “Register”.
6. Fill out the “Register Your Credential” form. The Credential Name is a simple,

easy to remember name for the token. The Credential ID and the Security
Code are both found on the token downloaded in Step 1.
7. Click “Submit”.

Step 3: Use the Token

In an application that has Multi-Factor Authentication (e.g. Check Point Endpoint
Security VPN) enabled, do one of the following:

 PRIMARY: Use your Windows username (e.g. [email protected]) and
Windows password to log in. A “Sign-in Request” is sent to your phone, Approve it.

** Requires phone to be connected to Wi-Fi or cellular network.

OR

 ALTERNATE: Use your Windows username (e.g.
[email protected]), then in the password
field type in your Windows password followed by the
Security Code displayed on the Token (e.g.
Password123456). (You will need to open the VIP Access
app on your mobile device to see the Security Code).

** Available to use when a data connection is not available, or if you
experience issues with the method described above.
