Club News

Dear Members,

With the beautiful fall colors in Missouri upon us, I recently took a moment and reflected that it has been seven months since I was

presented with the privilege of helping to lead this great member-owned Club in Columbia. I am proud of our members, I am proud of our
Club, and I am proud and excited about our future!

.

As I shared with you when I first took this position, I believe in transparency and clear communication. In that vein, I would like to provide
you with the following update using several recent data points from our annual "Business Performance Analysis" for the year ended
December 31, 2016, which was once again conducted by RubinBrown LLC:

• Between October 2016 – October 2017, 78 new members joined CCMO. As of October 17, 2017, CCMO has 642 total members,

which currently equals 431 Full Golf Equivalents (FGE). As a reminder, an FGE is calculated by dividing the dues of each membership
category by the full golf dues to get the equivalent to a full golf member. It is a term/calculation used for budgeting.

• 431 FGEs is currently +14 higher than the total number of FGEs one year ago and +6 higher than the 2017 budgeted FGEs.

• The CCMO Member Survey was launched on October 10th, 2017. The Club is working with a private club consulting firm, DRC

Research, to conduct a comprehensive membership survey that has been designed to gauge satisfaction, help identify opportunities, and

assist in our planning. The survey was also designed to help us prioritize key improvements, projects, and initiatives across all departments.
Your feedback was critical to our continued efforts to enhance your Club experience and position us for a successful future.

• The information you provided is confidential and individual respondent information will not be identified to the Board of Directors,

Club Management or Staff. Survey results were collected and analyzed by DRC Research and will be presented to the Long Range Planning

Sub-Committee. A two-day retreat with the CCMO Board and the Sub-Committee before Thanksgiving will establish the beginning of a
Strategic Plan for our Club.

• The volunteer House Committee is continuing to work with Rodney and Tina on fresh artwork and many new social initiatives for

2017-2018. You will find copies of our original building blueprints on the wall in the bar area and fun CCMO event photos will grace the

walls coming soon! The “New” Reopening Party will now be an exciting “Brunch” on Sunday, January 14th, 2018. Look for more details to
come in the near future!

• Estimated annual spending for an active Member in 2016 was approximately $9,680, with Food & Beverage and Dues topping the list

of spending categories.

• CCMO’s food gross profit in 2016 increased 1.6 points from the previous period and remains above the industry average.

• Golf course operating expenses per hole in 2016 remained consistent over the past five years and remain well below the industry

average of $52,478. Thanks to our great staff and good weather, there were 2,282 rounds of golf played in September of 2017.

Bank debt per Member decreased in 2016 as there were no significant borrowings in the current year, long-term debt was paid down by

approximately $250,000, and the Club added 54 resident members in WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!
2016.

Cheers and see you at the Club, JEFFREY & SUSAN LITT
THOMAS & LESLEY RANDOLL
