Pujian dan syukur ke hadirat Tuhan sang Pecinta hati kami yang manis, yang
karena kasih dan penyertaanNya, kami senantiasa dianugerahi rahmat kesehatan,
ketekunan, dan kesiapsediaan memberikan diri dalam keseluruhan proses
pelayanan kepada peserta didik. Pun atas perkenananNya, dengan berbekal
komitmen untuk memberikan layanan pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan
kondisi kontekstual, kami berproses mulai dari persiapan, penyusunan, dan
finalisasi referensi belajar yang dikemas dalam bentuk elektronik ini dengan baik.
Seluruh materi buku ini disusun berdasarkan tuntutan Kurikulum Nasional
ditujukan secara khusus bagi peserta didik sekolah-sekolah di bawah pengelolaan
Yayasan Tarakanita. Disusun berdasarkan konsep dan pengertian baku dari ilmu
pengetahuan, disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan taraf perkembangan dan tuntutan
kemahiran kompetensi sesuai jenjang, dan disertai dengan berbagai pembahasan
beserta contoh-contoh dalam kehidupan konkrit, diharapkan materi pembelajaran
ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan implementatif pengalaman sehari-hari peserta didik di
tengah-tengah masyarakat.
Sesuai dengan tuntutan perkembangan teknologi di era digital, di mana
dibutuhkan akses yang mudah, cepat, dan efektif dalam proses pembelajaran,
maka buku ini kami terbitkan dalam bentuk buku elektronik. Semoga keberadaan
buku elektronik ini dapat membantu peserta didik mempersiapkan pembelajaran,

KATA PENGANTAR
Bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa pengantar utama dalam
hubungan internasional. Semakin pesatnya kemajuan teknologi membuat
hubungan antar bangsa menjadi semakin mudah dan cepat. Penguasaan terhadap
Bahasa Inggris menjadi kebutuhan utama bagi setiap orang. Oleh karena itu
pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah pun perlu mengikuti arus perkembangan
zaman.
Salah satu hal yang dapat diusahakan dalam rangka menyejajarkan
kebutuhan akan sumber penunjang pembelajaran dan perkembangan teknologi
adalah dengan menghadirkan sumber belajar berbasis elektronik yaitu berupa
buku elektronik. Dalam hal efisiensi, buku elektronik mempunyai keunggulan
yaitu tidak membutuhkan kertas sebagai medianya oleh karena itu sangat praktis
untuk dibawa kemanapun dan diakses dimanapun. Buku elektronik hanya
membutuhkan telepon genggam yang terkoneksi dengan internet untuk dapat
digunakan.
Puji syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa karena dengan
rahmatNya Yayasan Tarakanita dapat mempersembahkan buku elektronik ini
guna menunjang pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris jenjang SMP Kelas VII. Hadirnya
buku elektronik ini diharapkan akan dapat membantu siswa untuk belajar Bahasa
Inggris secara efektif dan efisien sehingga capaian akademik pun akan semakin
optimal.
Buku ini disusun berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 dengan dilengkapi
latihan-latihan yang diharapkan semakin meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir dan
keterampilan siswa dalam berbahasa Inggris.
Tim penyusun menyadari bahwa masih banyak kekurangan
didalam buku elektronik ini. Oleh karena itu, tim penyusun mengharapkan
