FACTS OF WATER

Our bodies contain a lot of water — 60% of an adult’s weight, and 80%
of a newborn’s weight, is body fluid. In other words, the body of a 70 kg
man contains about 42 liters of water. Our saliva is water. Our blood is
water. Our perspiration and urine are water.

Water makes your body work better.
When you are dehydrated, you will feel tired and not perform as well. You
cannot concentrate, focus and do not have the energy.

When you are hydrated, you will be able to run faster, jump higher, climb
better. You see, muscles are made of 79% water, blood is 80% water and
bones are 22% water.

Water makes you think and learn better.
The brain is made up of 75% water.
Dehydration makes you moody, grumpy and your brain just doesn’t think right.

When you are hydrated your brain will function at optimum

IMPORTANCE OF WATER IN CHILDREN

Water makes your body healthier.
Water helps clean out the garbage of the body like the toxins and poop.
Constipation (not able to pass motion or poop) is a sign of dehydration.

Water makes your skin healthy and not itchy.
Dehydration causes the skin to dry up and be itchy. Dehydration also causes bad
breath and dry mouth.
