NOTES FROM NITA...

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that

whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
YES, THIS IS A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

THAT ALL THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW!

At this time of year we think of giving our loved ones a gift to express our love. We can hardly
imagine what was given to us by God himself. On that most holy of days, Jesus Christ was born
and with him the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Savior. As the angel and the
heavenly host announced his birth to the shepherds, all the world changed forever. You and I

were given eternal life and blessed with the Holy Spirit residing in our hearts for all eternity
because of that gift.

We have heard the message and read in our bibles what God has made possible for us. Through
the disciples of the past and now in the present God continues to show us the way by the

preaching of his word. Let us with joy celebrate, sing praises, and thank Him for his love
forever and ever, and ever.

Our prayer is that every child who receives a box will hear and accept the good news about Jesus. Thank you to

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF MEBANE YOUTH MINISTRY

We had a great November with students. We took a group of students to an Elon Game day
where we watched the Elon FCA athletes play. It was so much fun for all the students. Every

Alamance County school was represented there. I’m looking forward to December and the
Christmas season. Thank you for always supporting our youth.

This month has been an exciting time at our church! We've had our Hanging of the Greens

service to kick off our Advent season. The Kid’s Choir performed Strange Way to Save The
World dressed as angels and Mary and Joseph. Our Praise Team performed Joy to the World,

Grace of God with Us, and Mary Did You Know. Our traditional choir performed It Came Upon

A Midnight Clear, O Holy Night, and Silent Night. It was a great collaboration service enjoyed
by all. Coming up this month we will have our Christmas Music Sunday (BEHOLD) on Dec.

18th. Come enjoy some new Christmas music and worship with us together! Dec 21st is

caroling! All are welcome to come lift their voice and spread some Christmas cheer with us! We

will have our Christmas Eve service on the 24th at 8:00 pm and then...Christmas Day combined
service at 11 am!! So be on the lookout for updates with that. We're excited this year that

Christmas is on a Sunday! We hope to see you there to celebrate the birth of Jesus that morning.

Rob & Marlo Countiss will be teaching a class this Winter from Right

Now Media. It’s called His Needs/Her Needs, Building an Affair-Proof
Marriage. It will be a six-session study beginning on Friday, Jan 6 at 6
th
p.m. and ending on Feb 19. Rob & Marlo will provide dinner on the 6 ,
so they will need to get a head count of who is planning to come.

Contact Rob at [email protected] or Marlo at
[email protected] for more information. Childcare will be provided.

For over twenty-five years, His Needs, Her Needs has been transforming
marriages all over the world. Now this life-changing book is the basis for an interactive six-

week study designed for use in couples' small groups or retreats, pre-marital counseling
sessions, or by individual couples.

Willard F. Harley, Jr. and his wife, Joyce, explain the important concept of the Love Bank, and
teach them to meet each other's emotional needs for affection, sex, intimate conversation,
companionship, family commitment, physical attractiveness, honesty and openness, and

admiration. As couples walk through the study together they will remember why they fell in
love in the first place, renew their commitment to their marriage , and rediscover their passion.

As you may know we have two members of FBCM who recently published books. If you are

looking for a Christmas present for someone who likes to read, consider two books one written
by Kristyn Koegel and one written by Kurt Pearson. Each book is $19.95.

Two Roads, One H.E.A.R.T. will make you laugh, cry and ultimately,
bring back to life the wholehearted version of yourself that’s been lying
dormant. It’s your turn to fully live the life that’s designed just for you.
Kristyn takes you on a heart-felt, Spirit-led, literary, and poetic journey to

help you navigate your way back to your God given purpose using her
signature H.E.A.R.T. Journal™ System. This book will make great
Christmas present! Kristyn’s book is available at all bookstore websites
(Barnes & Nobel, Amazon, etc.). For $19.95, this is a great read!

If you are looking for a great Christmas present for a young adult, Kurt
Person has written a book with a Christian based message for young

adults. It’s available at all bookstore websites (Barnes & Nobel,
Amazon, etc.). You can also purchase the book locally at The Solgarden
in downtown Mebane.

The cost is $19.95 and we have some available on the table outside of

the sanctuary. Make checks out to Kurt Pearson. You can drop the
payment off at the church office. For $19.95, this is also a great read!
