NOTES FROM NITA...

Psalm 8:4,5: “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man,
JOY SENIORS
that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and
hast crowned him with glory and honor. 9: O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all
the earth!”

It’s hard to understand or even imagine how much God loves us to give us such abilities and
power. He gave us dominion over all creatures on earth and the freedom to choose our way of

life. He not only gave us understanding and intelligence, but also a conscience to live in a world
with many choices in life. He awakened in us eyes to see right from wrong. He gave us a soul
to seek that which is glorifying to God, our creator.

Like David, what songs of praise and thanksgiving can we raise in joy, love and gratefulness for

His blessings. Our lives, our families, our neighbors (all everywhere) and our church are here
for us. Halleluia!

MARCH 2023 Women On Mission

North American Missions & Annie Armstrong Easter Offering,
March 5-12

FBCM Goal: $1,800.
National Goal: $70 million. www.anniearmstrong.com

Theme: “United: Called to be One.” Scripture: Phillipians 2:1-2 “If, then there is any
encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any
affection and mercy, make my joy complete by thinking the same way, having the same love,
united in spirit, intent on one purpose.”

The North American Mission Board (NAMB) comes alongside SBC churches to take the gospel
to the 281 million without Christ across the U.S. and Canada. Annually, the Annie Armstrong
Easter Offering (AAEO) is held and is the primary way Southern Baptists fund missions in
North America. 100% of gifts given to AAEO go to the field to support more than 2,400
missionary families serving across the United States and Canada. Gifts to the Annie Armstrong

Easter Offering are used to train and resource missionaries in church planting and compassion
ministries.
Gifts are also used to create evangelism resources. Contact: Karen Rice, [email protected]

JOY SENIORS www.imb.org.
Kayleigh Petty McDaniel

Children’s Ministry Director

This year our VBS will be Knights of North Castle, starting June 12th through June 16th, from
6pm to 8:45pm. We will be learning about the Armor of God and how it helps us every day!

Registration will open soon for three years old (potty trained please) to rising 6th graders. If you
are interested in learning more about VBS or helping out during the week of, June 12th through
June 16th, please contact Kayleigh McDaniel. You can email her at

[email protected]

We will have a VBS volunteer meeting on April 23rd for EVERYONE

interested, after the 11am service and talk about materials and start
making lists of everything we need for VBS. Let’s have an amazing VBS
this year!! We need YOU to make this happen!

North Castle is hidden in a frozen land.
The King’s valiant Knights are on a quest in
search of the King’s Armor.
But the armor isn’t what they think it is.

Knights of North Castle: Quest for the King’s Armor, invites children to be strong in the Lord
and in the strength of God’s power by exploring how we put on the armor of God. Kids will
take on the role of brave Knights and begin their quest each session by opening the King’s

Book. They’ll explore Old and New Testament stories and discover different pieces of
protective armor—the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Justice, the Shoes of Peace, the Shield of
Faith, and the Helmet of Salvation—at work in the lives of familiar Bible characters, and
explore how that armor works in their own lives as they follow and serve God.

Help kids take up the gauntlet this summer and accept the challenge to “armor up” and be
strong by remaining with God and sharing God’s love in a world that needs it more than ever.
"Be strong in the Lord

"Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power."
We are always in need of volunteers for Kid’s Church (11:00 service), and Wednesday
night services. If you are interested in volunteering with us, contact Kayleigh McDaniel at
[email protected]

April 1, 2023 will mark our 43rd Operation Inasmuch at FBC Mebane!

Thank you for serving our Lord by serving others with many acts of
kindness over the years. Matthew 25:40 is our Inasmuch focal passage of
Scripture as Jesus said "....Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my

brethren, ye have done it unto me."

Some of our projects seem small or insignificant while others seem large or overwhelming, but
each one is an opportunity to share the love of Christ with those we serve. It's not so much the
project itself, but the people we do them for is at the heart of Operation Inasmuch. Prayer,

Visitation, Administrative, Giving and Going are all important as we continue to reach people
beyond our church walls. God is good! May you be blessed beyond measure as you love others

in the name of Jesus. Lunch will be provided.

SIGN UP SHEETS ARE ON THE TABLE IN THE WELCOME CENTER ALONG WITH A
BOX TO DROP IN THE COMPLETED FORMS.

YOU CAN ALSO SEND AN E-MAIL TO DAVID FAIRCLOTH ([email protected]) or

call/text 919-605-4437

If you need more information on projects or Operation Inasmuch in general, David can also
help with this as well.

A pastor’s work is never-ending. Just like us, they also

experience pressure, tension, as well as responsibilities. A
pastor is called upon to be involved in the lives of the people

in his congregation who appears to have an endless list of
demands. They are putting aside their own lives on behalf of serving and treating the spiritual
health of people. May God constantly bless you with the strength to do your work. Pastor

Sammy & Pastor Maddi please keep it up and we hold you in high esteem.

Thank you, Lori. You are amazing. It’s hard to comprehend how many hours you have spent in

your lifetime practicing, practicing, and practicing. Bless you. Please keep it up. We hold you in
high esteem.

Thank you, choir directors Chris Conley and Loren Sessoms. You combine your skills and
education with repetitive hours of picking the right songs and directing church choir practice.

And let’s be sure to add here your people skills which make it possible for you to take the full
range of talent represented in a volunteer choir and somehow minimize the weaknesses and
maximize the strengths of all those who sing to the Lord with gladness. Bless you. Please keep
it up. We hold you in high esteem.

Thank you, choir members, adults and children. Your faithfulness is
astounding. The weeknight of choir rehearsal, the Sunday morning
run-throughs, the worship services Sunday after Sunday, over and

over and over again. And I know you don’t only sing for your
church, but you also lend your full voice and heart to every note for
God. Bless you. Please keep it up. We hold you in high esteem.

Thank you, praise band leaders. You too not only have the magnificent ability to play, sing, and
teach music, but you manage to keep the praise band together, which in the world of music and

musician personalities is quite a feat in itself. And in the genre of contemporary Christian music
there are so many different styles and types, you must discern which songs your band can play
and your congregation can sing so that the music will bless your congregation and speak to their
hearts. Bless you. Please keep it up. We hold you in high esteem.

Thank you, praise band singers. Some of you have microphones, some of you do not. Some of
you have solos, some of you do not. Some of you have a magnificent ear for harmonies and the
beautiful blending of notes. Some of you simply have a heart for The Lord and a spirit inside
you that must be expressed in worship and praise. You also bear the reality of what is asked of

you week after week, Sunday after Sunday. Bless you. Please keep it up. We hold you in high
esteem.
