NOTES FROM NITA...

Colossians: 2:2 - That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together
JOY SENIORS
in love, and unto all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the
acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.

We have learned so much this week of how much our love for one another comforts and

strengthens us when we are in need. One of our dear brothers in Christ has gone to be with the
Lord. Many of us as seniors have dealt with the loss of our love ones. May our prayers for
those suffering this loss, now and in the past, continue because of our love for one another.
Praise God for his open arms to those we have loved.

Manna Market Food Drive

The next Manna Market Distribution is
Tuesday, May 16, 2023

We had another good response at Manna Market on the 18th, signed up two new Clients which
is great, but life is not without trials.

Donations of food have slowed as the prices continue to rise which is no surprise to us. With all
that said, food needs for our Clients continue so please try to donate what you can when you
can. I’ll try to do a better job of keeping our needs up to date so Ronda can send them out.

Items needed listed in order of greatest need for the Manna Market.
Canned Pasta (Ravioli, Spaghetti), Canned Chicken, Instant Potatoes, Jams/Jellies, Diced
Tomatoes, Pancake Syrup, Pancake Mix, Corn Bread Mix (Jiffy), Ramen
Noodles, Cereal, Canned Pinto Beans, Pork n’ Beans, Grits, Kidney Beans.

Major thanks to all who contribute and most especially to our Volunteers without whom Manna

Market would not exist.

MINISTRY

The Handyman Ministry Team continues to move our inventory of temporary metal ramps from

place to place as needed. As people recover and no longer need a ramp, our team will move the
ramp to storage, or transport it to another location where a need exists. Would you like to assist
and learn how to assemble these ramps while working with the team? Would you like to learn
and help build a permanent wooden ramp?

Would you like to serve by assisting with plumbing repairs, installing handrails, grab bars, or
other small projects? You are welcome to join us!

We Are In Need of VOLUNTEERS

VBS is getting closer and closer and we know being a VBS volunteers requires you to
give up a week of you time. But it’s worth doing. It’s worth it for the kids and families

who will hear the gospel, and it’s worth it for the church family to serve alongside one
another for the greater purpose of kingdom expansion.

If you can volunteer your time for the week of VBS, please contact Kayleigh McDaniel
at [email protected].

May 1st marked the 43rd Operation Inasmuch at FBC Mebane! Thank

you for serving our Lord by serving others with many acts of kindness

over the years. Matthew 25:40 is our focal passage of Scripture as Jesus

said "....Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my

brethren, ye have done it unto me." Some of our projects seem small or insignificant while others

seem large or overwhelming, but each one is an opportunity to share the love of Christ with those

we serve. It's not so much the project itself, but the people we do them for is at the heart of

Operation Inasmuch. Prayer, Visitation, Administrative, Giving and Going are all important as we

continue to reach people beyond our church walls. God is good! May you be blessed beyond

measure as you love others in the name of Jesus.
