Abstract

This internship report reviews the maintenance and repair of suspension. This study aims to
determine the function and maintenance of Suspension.
Explanation the suspension system is located between the vehicle body the wheels, and is
designed to absorb shock from the road surface for added comfort. Suspension components
consist of springs,shock absorber,ball joint,stabilizer bar strut bar , suspension
arm,bumper.The suspension system is a part of the chassis that it is not transmitted to the
body, as well as to increase driving comfort.
The suspension system has the following functions:
1.Absorb various shocks and vibrations received by vehicles caused by road conditions ,so
that passengers or luggage are safe and comfortable and to increase driving stability.
2.Maintain the correct vehicle height during driving.
3.Maintain the geometric relationship between the body and the wheels
4.Maintain correct wheel alignment
5.Ensure tire contact with the road in optimal condition
6.Help maintain/control the direction of the vehicle when driving..
