Who we are: PRODUCT BACKGROUND
Kiki’s Kini’s is a sustainable, handcrafted, custom swimwear brand, where
consumers work directly with the designer to personalize their dream kini.
We acknowledge and celebrate that no body is the same, and neither is our
creativity. We recognize the true beauty in our uniqueness, and advocate for
authenticity in our body and minds, which is why we offer complete per-
sonalization in order to make our customers feel their most confident and
beautiful, especially in moments of vulnerability. By giving them the ability
to create their own bikini, we encourage our consumers creative freedom, re-
sulting in one-of-one bikinis, made just for you and your body. Our designer
will work with you through the creation process, and make your ideas come
to life.
How we started:
Kiki’s Kini’s creator, Kiana Eide, always had an interest in bikini’s, and was
on a constant hunt for the perfect bikini. She made sure to stray away from
fast-fashion brands because of their contribution to the damage of the envi-
ronment, along with having poor quality products made from cheap mate-
rials. The swimsuits that caught her interest were high-quality with unique
designs, but typically came with an outrageous price. She found herself
constantly dreaming about these bikinis that she was not able to afford, so
she decided to learn how to make bikinis herself. This process turned into a
newfound passion - to create and curate personalized, dream bikinis.

Why we’re here:
Kiki’s Kini’s wants to emphasize the importance of practicing sustainability in the making of
our swimwear. Fast-fashion companies are infamous for over manufacturing excessive amounts
of cheap quality clothes. These clothes are considered waste, and are typically thrown into
landfills or burned, adding severe damage to our already harmed ecosystem. Kiki’s Kini’s
ensures we are implementing sustainable practices in the creation of our products by having a
made-to-order system. By creating one piece at a time, it helps prevent over-manufacturing. An-
other way we combat fast-fashion is by implementing a zero-waste policy. Usually, people think
that old cut up scraps from past creations are considered garbage and are typically thrown
away. With our mission of implementing sustainable practices, we found a way to repurpose
these garbage scraps. Every left-over scrap is saved and made into a one-of-one design, called
the “Scrap Kini.” With each sale of the “Scrap Kini,” a portion of the proceeds will be donated
to the Centre of Sustainable Fashion, a research center at the London College of Fashion where
they focus to find new ways to create fashion at a lower environmental and social costs.

New Sustainable and Custom Swimwear Line Encourages Creative Freedom in Consumers
CHICAGO, Dec. 18, 2021 -- Kiki’s Kini’s is a new sustainable, handcrafted, custom swimwear brand, where consumers work
directly with the designer to personalize their dream kini. Kiki’s Kini’s embraces each person’s physical and mental unique-
ness, which is why they encourage consumers to have creative freedom when curating their product, because it makes each
piece special in their own way. They will be able to fully customize their bikini with the ability to choose the fabric type, color,
design, and pattern, along with custom sizing, for complete personalization.
A stakeholder of Kiki’s Kini’s says, “I really appreciate that they are taking initiative in implementing sustainable practices
as a brand. I have a lot of respect for them because I know it is quite hard (and not so profitable) to maintain sustainable
practices. I also think it’s fitting that they offer complete personalization, especially during our day in age because consumers
appreciate brands that want to empower the things that make us unique.”
The creation of this brand stemmed from the owner’s inability to afford the bikinis she desired, so she taught herself how
to make swimwear, “this business venture turned to a newfound passion of mine, with being able to help people create and
curate their own, completely personalized dream kini,” says Kiana Eide, founder and creator of Kiki’s Kini’s.
Not only are these bikinis completely personalized and made for you, by you, but Kiki’s Kini’s also practices sustainable
fashion, and have created a new one-of-one bikini called the “Scrap Kini”. This is a recycled, fully repurposed bikini that is
made entirely out of scrap fabric from other creations. With each sale of the “Scrap Kini ‘’, 10% of the proceeds are donated
to Centre of Sustainable Fashion, a research center at the London College of Fashion, where they focus to find new ways to
create fashion at a lower environmental and social cost.

This 7.25” x 10.375” advertisement design will be placed in a one page spread in the Cosmo-
politan Magazine. With strategic placement, advertising Kiki’s Kini’s in this magazine allows
them to further reach their target market, that being women 18-35 years old.

Kiki’s Kini’s acknowledges the damages fast-fashion causes to the environment
and recognizes the importance of implementing sustainable policies in order to
create necessary change within the fashion industry and the environment. In
order to further research of sustainability in fashion, Kiki’s Kini’s will donating
10% of proceeds made from the “Scrap Kini” to the Centre of Sustainable Fash-
ion, a research center at the London College of Fashion where they “provoke,
challenge, and question the status quo in fashion”, and focus to find new ways
of creating fashion at lower environmental and social costs.
The partnership between Kiki’s Kini’s and the Centre of Sustainable Fashion will
be celebrated at an art gala and fashion show, where the students of the Centre
of Sustainable Fashion will exhibit their own pieces, as well as Kiki’s Kini’s cre-
ations. The purpose of this event will be to generate awareness to organization
and their talented students, as well as highlighting the importance of creating
sustainable fashion. In order to create awareness of the event, the attendees
will include many Instagram influencers that the target audience have interests
in, mainly those who also have an interest in fashion and sustainability. These
influencers will post videos and photos of the event onto their social media
pages, furthering the awareness of the brand and the organization.

through Instagram since the primary target market of Kiki’s Kini’s, women ages
18-34, tend to be most active on Instagram compared to other social media
platforms. The main focus of promoting content on Instagram will be to provide
updates of new bikini designs, promote the “Scrap Kini” and the organization
involved, posting photos of testimonials from our customers, promoting sales and
special offers, collaborating with Instagram influencers, as well as optimizing
the other features Instagram offers such as story posts, reels, and livestreaming.
In addition to regularly posting content on the main page, Kiki’s Kini’s will also
promote these posts into advertisements on Instagram. Utilizing this feature will
allow for increased brand exposure to audiences that have similar interests to
Kiki’s Kini’s target market. Additionally, since Kiki’s Kini’s will be pushing con-
tent on Instagram it is important that the content is prepared in advanced, along
with creating a regular posting schedule that fits around the time that the target
audience is most active on Instagram. Kiki’s Kini’s will utilize scheduling tools,
such as Social Media Poster, in order to schedule posts in advanced. With the use
of this tool, it allows for more time to be dedicated to responding to customers
and followers’ comments, direct messages, etc. Kiki’s Kini’s wants to engage with
their customers through their Instagram stories, posts, and livestreams, in order to
create a community within the target audience.
