Life is extraordinary, when you look
beyond the ordinary. Even the smallest things
oon be the oouse ot immense joy. Being
i n d i v i d u a l s ot Bishop MoGuinness we ore
called to look beyond the ordinary into the
extraordinary happenings that surround us.
Our sports teams brought home the coveted
Wachovia Cup and our school is now ranked
one of the top 50 Catholic schools in the
nation. We have a Division I basketball player
in Kat Lyons, a certitied pilot in Chris Boylan,
and an accomplished fundraiser for Multiple
Sclerosis in Kristy Dull. We are extraordinary,
we are more than we seem, we are more
than meets the eye.

People make assumptions that we

are simply a Catholic school, ordinary, and

spiritual. Yes, we are spiritual, but we are

also spirited, we are the most enthusiastic

fans and students around. We have multiple

"spirit weeks" and we pack the pit with "emo

n ig h f and "pirate nighf. In truth, school is

completely chaotic. We have 1:30 dismissals

so often they might as well be a weekly

Wednesday occurance. We have witnessed

world-renowned guitar players hard at work,

and heard the and motivational

speeches of an Olympic medalist. Our year

is filled with days of shortened schedules

for getting students involved like club days,

advisor Fridays, exciting pep rallies, the alumni

induction ceremony, and monthly masses.

Bishop MoGuinness defines us as

individuals and also as a part ot a nuturing

community. It is our decision to invest our time

and to gain better the life that lies

ahead of us. This is only the beginning, the

road of life is right out the front doors.
