2 We Remember

W e Remember...
This can mean a lot of things, especially in a yearbook: we
remember the masses in the gym; we remember getting all
‘spirited up’ at the football games; we remember Mr. Repass
yelling “Four minutes!!!” during lunch; we remember certain
teachers, friends, and places that made a powerful lasting impres
sion on us. However this 2003-2004 year gives the phrase “We
Remember” special significance. This year’s senior class will be
the last to remember Bishop McGuinness’s old location on Link
Road in Winston Salem, where they began as freshmen. This will
be the last class to remember the balcony over the gym, the
bumpy soccer field, and hanging out on the radiators. The class
of 2004 will be the last to experience the state-of-the-art new
school while still being able to look back on the old school with
fond memories and appreciation. So join us now as we we remem
ber the past and look towards the future...

Field Day

Here at Bishop McGuinness we like to start out the
new school year with a little fun. Every class competes
against each other in a series of events including: crab
soccer, kickball, relays, flag football, balloon volley
ball, and of course dodgeball. These team building
activities encourage the new students to become part of
the Bishop McGuinness community. At the end of the
day, exhausted competitors anxiously await
the results of the competi
tions. Even though the
freshmen were the “new
comers”, the white team
showed the whole school
exactly how much team
work and determination
can pay off at the end of
grueling day.
