SYLLABUS

A.I.S. has a comprehensive syllabus, from Grades 1 to 12, which includes the Holy Quran and Saudi History &
Geography.
The administration and staff of the school plan the work for each subject in great detail, dividing it into easy-to-
understand concepts. We test every single point of knowledge we expect to build in the mind of our students.
Our teachers use methods that have proven their efficiency. The administration checks every single concept
after it is taught. We believe in not just identifying the weaknesses in each student but also in providing support
to improve that area. All this, however, will not guarantee success. What is also needed is for the students to do
their work, by studying the material at the rate it is given to them, complete their assignments and work hard on
their weakness.
We aim to encourage independent learning habits, to develop student’s creativity, thinking skills, and provide
opportunities for success. We aim to combine pleasure with learning and academic rigor.
High standards are achieved through a combination of good teaching, small class sizes, extra assistants, open
dialogue between school and parents, homework and plentiful resources.
When our students leave us to attend other schools, colleges and universities across the world, they take with
them the advantage of an excellent academic grounding with an international outlook.
Knowledge in the right context is important and so are the skills of learning . We are committed to developing
an educationally rich experience that encourages our students to recognize and believe in the power of their
own mind.
It is mandatory that students of AIS appear for the following examinations conducted by the
University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES):

Grade 6 Cambridge Primary Check-Point in Mathematics and Science
Grade 8 Cambridge Secondary Check-Point in English, Mathematics and Science
Grade 10 IGCSE Exam in subjects selected by the students.
Grade 11 GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level exam in subjects selected by the students.
