SOUND Class A

Forbo Flooring is an expert when it comes to sound reduction. There are 2 different
types of sound that can impact your working or living environment. In room impact
sound reduction is related to impact noise in the room itself. The standard NF-S31-074
classifies all flooring in to various categories, all Forbo Sarlon products are classified
in Class A: best in class! Impact sound reduction is related to the sound transmitted
through the floor from one room to the floors below. This is the most common
quoted sound reduction measure. We are leading in this area and Sarlon products are
delivering different levels of improvement on impact sound from rooms above. EN ISO
717-2 is the norm for this and our products rate 15 and 19dB on this.

INDENTATION

Floors need to be strong to remain beautiful and indentation under pressure can be a
major issue. Resistance to this needs to be maintained over time and at peak pressures.
Residual indentation resistance is a key property for any flooring and Forbo Flooring
Sarlon is offering you the best in class performance on our products.

YOU HAVE THE CHOICE

The Sarlon 19dB product is offering you the best possible acoustic properties for
any project; at a residual indentation that is the best in the industry for this type of
product. When the requirements are tough, rollability is key; and heavy loads will
occupy the floor: Sarlon 15dB will give you the best possible solution in acoustic
product with very good residual indentation resistance. Circumstances will dictate
what works best for your project, but at least Forbo can guarantee you get the best
solution there is in an acoustic product.
