GALAPAGOS!

The name alone resonates on so many levels. It is surely a must-see destination
on any naturalist’s bucket list. Known as the birthplace of the theory of evolution
and as a living laboratory, Galapagos is indeed a place where basic evolutionary
principles can be observed first hand. Charles Darwin famously visited the
archipelago in 1835 onboard the HMS Beagle. He stayed in the archipelago a mere
five weeks, yet his profound powers of observation were to change forever the
way we have come to understand how life has evolved. As important as it has
proved scientifically, the Galapagos will provide any wildlife-loving visitor with a
great sense of enjoyment, satisfaction and oneness with the world. We encourage
the respectful visitor to come and see the islands for themselves. They are home
to an eclectic, incongruous, mix of species. We have some of the largest shark
concentrations anywhere, along with sea lions, fur seals and turtles. The islands
are a mix of active volcanoes, stunning beaches, a rich ocean and abundant, tame
wildlife. In short, Galapagos will not fail to please. Come and see for yourself!
