Awareness on Filariasis An awareness session headed by Dr. Tanushri was held in the morning assembly on 6th February,2023. She defined the disease and detailed the causes and effects of it. With the motto of eradicating Filarisis from Lucknow , she requested each student to support the drive.
ART OF QUESTION MAKING A training session on the art of framing questions was conducted by Ms. Savita Mall and Ms. Arshi Arif on 10th and 11th February, 2023. The session enhanced the teachers' understanding on the attributes of good questions. Appropriate subject wise questions of the first few topics of all the subjects were meticulously discussed and framed.
NEW SESSION BEGINS: WELCOME ASSEMBLY Wednesday, 28th March,2023 “Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela In order to illuminate the young minds, it’s necessary to broaden their perspective and motivate them from childhood. Every session marks a new beginning. Therefore, the first day, when the children, all feeling rejuvenated, enthusiastic and exited, come to the school in their brand new, crisp uniforms, it becomes a very special day. To make it all the more special, a Welcome assembly was organized on 28th March the first day of the session this year. While the old students were welcomed back, the new ones(Class VI), looking lost and a little uncomfortable, were extended warm greetings so that they start feeling at home. They had their fears, inhibitions, but at the same time the joy propelled them to shun their fears and greet everything new with enthusiasm and courage.
A special assembly was conducted by previous year student council Shiv Singh and Arya Shakti . The School prayer explanation was given by Chitrakshi Dubey, pledge by Vaibhavi Mishra , explanation of the pledge by Virat , thought by Aarnaa Saxena, Virtue by Plaksha and a motivational story by Aurojeet. Vidya Ka Parv was celebrated by worshipping the Goddess Saraswati and singing the hymn " He Sharde Maa“ to convey a message that one should keep in mind that blessings alone cannot do wonders. Hard work is also needed. Only when the students put their best effort, the Goddess shower her blessings upon them and they shine. CMS Kanpur Road (Junior Section) organised First House Meeting of the session 2023-24. Agenda of the Meeting: 1. Introduction of house moderators and deputy moderators along with the teachers belonging to respective house. 2. Moderators selected students for the upcoming activities and make teacher incharges for each activity. 3. Upcoming activities were announced. 4. Students were reminded of the house dress that they need to wear each Saturday 5. Students were encouraged for active participation.
On, 20/04/2023, a counselling session was conducted for girls of class VI, VII and VIII at WUCC. It was an interactive session in which girls discussed about the changes and challenges of adolescent age in relation to our physical health, mental health and emotional aspects. They even shared their experiences regarding their puberty age and issues they face during this stage. Furthermore, they were educated about the importance of puberty stage and the ways to deal with it.They were advised to remain calm and accept that changes are normal; and then speak to a person with whom they share strong bonding. Canva is an Australian global multi-national graphic design platform that is used to create graphic designs and presentations.The app includes readymade templates for users to use.Canva for Education is a free upgrade plan for all K-12 educators, librarians, and their students.With Canva for Education, teachers can create the most engaging lessons and run activities for students in-class or online.It allows teachers to access thousands of templates for any subject, grade, or topic, and enjoy all of Canva’s premium features for free.Ms. Savita Mall,one of our teachers,who is also one of the 11 Canvassadors chosen from India attended a lunch meet in Wework Gurgaon, Delhi on 30th April.The agenda of the meeting was to empower the teacher community to make them use technology in classroom in a meaningful way.Another important agenda was to make Canva for Education available to all the teachers and the whole school for free by using the school domain.It was a great learning experience as in the meeting the best practices being used in other schools and states in India were discussed.

SOF - International English Olympiad Tanmay Mishra of 10- I who scored International rank- 10, Regional rank-07, Zonal rank- 07, School rank- 01 in the level 1 of the International English Olympiad- 2022 by Science Olympiad Foundation. 8th National Battle Sports Championship Tanishq Bansal was awarded with two silver medals in 8th National Battle Sports Championship on 21st and 22nd January, 2023 in Mumbai. It was organised in affiliation with Uttar Pradesh Olympics Association, where she was the flag bearer of her state, Uttar Pradesh. Assembly: "The first step to cure the disease is to know the disease.” CMS Kanpur Road Branch organised an awareness workshop on Filariasis, an asymptomatic mosquito-borne disease. Two doctors were invited to brief the students on the symptoms, effects, and prevention of the disease, particularly relevant to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Laurels in International English Olympiad CMS Kanpur Road students Kashvi Paul (X-L), Shreya Maurya (X-L), and Tanmay Mishra (X-I) excelled in the SOF International English Olympiad 2023-2023. Tanmay Mishra secured the first rank, Kashvi Paul secured the second rank, and Shreya Maurya received the gold medal of excellence with a third rank.
National Debate Competition Our young able debater Shruti Yadav from class XI-C has qualified the state level in the National Debate Competition organised by Bal Education Trust. She has competed against participants across the state for the motion "Fashion trends are harmful for youngsters'' . She is the only contestant selected from Uttar Pradesh to represent her state at the national level.

Farewell CMS Kanpur Road bid a farewell to the batch of 2022-2023 on 4th February, 2023. It was a bittersweet moment for the faculty, the juniors and those who now are set to embark upon their new journeys. Following the theme of 'Lucida'-the brightest star, we celebrated and cherished our young stars who will fly high and high in the universe. Assembly 28/3/2023: Vidya ka Parv Vidya Ka Parv was celebrated during the morning assembly today. The assembly desk resounded with motivating lines as NITYA PATEL of class XII A emphasised, "Education is the supreme wealth amongst all kinds of wealth." She read out a biography of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and welcomed everyone to the morning assembly. Then we had the bhajan 'He Sharde Ma' and Goddess Saraswati was worshipped by the Principal, Vice Principal, incharges and coordinators. This was Respected Principal ma'am showered her love and blessings on the students, motivating them to stay focused for the upcoming session.

Swimming Competition: CMS Kanpur Road students bring laurels to the institute Devaj Mishra from Class 9 won three gold medals in Interschool Swimming Competition at DPS Gomti Nagar on 27th and 28th April 2023, while Konark from Class 12 secured 1st place in Under 18 Free Style Relay and 1st runner-up in 50m Free Style. Aditi from Class 9 secured 3rd place in Under 18 50m Free Style and Free Style Relay, and Advika Thakur from Class 9 secured 3rd place in 100m Free Style and 4 * 50m Free Style Relay, in the same competition.
Students listen to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and express their gratitude for the Radio Program The students of C.M.S. listened to the "Mann Ki Baat" program by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Kanpur Road Studio of Radio, and subsequently participated in the World Voice Radio Program to share their thoughts. The CMS students found the Prime Minister's program very informative and beneficial, and expressed gratitude towards the CMS management for organizing the radio program.
Participation of CMS LDA Branch in MUN - (29th-30th April 2023) A 10-member delegation from CMS Kanpur Road, led by Nandita Agrawal, participated in 'CMSMUN: The Second edition' organised by CMS Aliganj Campus 1, along with their teacher mentor Miss Jasneet Kaur. The delegation won two prizes, with Nandita receiving 'High Commendation' and Parishi receiving verbal mention. The conference provided a learning experience and an opportunity to showcase leadership, debating, and interpersonal skills, helping students develop a sense of global responsibility.

Junior Youth Empowerment Program - Future Endeavors of Today's Youth Senior Section students (JYEP Animators) participated in a podcast by CMS Vishwa Voice, sharing stories from their JYEP book "Walking the Straight Path" and two other stories with strong moral lessons. The discussion inspired and motivated students to empower listeners through their own learnings. Class IX Animators conducted a JYEP session with class VI Junior youth during assembly time, engaging in lessons, art and craft, and various activities together. The Animators believe in bringing about positive change in their respective junior youth members, seeing them as a pride and asset to their country when guided in the right direction.

Spectacular Board Exam Performance 2023: ICSE and ISC Excellence at Kanpur Road Branch City Montessori School Kanpur Road branch gave a spectacular and flabbergasting performance in the board examination 2023.
