Just over ten years ago, myself and my brother, Simon, set up Gane Design. I have always had a passion for
design. My background - aſter successfully completing a degree in furniture design at Northumbria University,
I joined Artichoke, a bespoke specialist cabinet makers in Somerset and then worked as a kitchen designer at
Smallbone of Devizes. It was whilst at Smallbone that my vision became clear - to create quality kitchens at a
more affordable price.
As Gane Design grew, I was able to purchase CPL Kitchens and set up our first showroom in Guildford.
CPL Kitchens was owned by David Priest, who was well known and highly respected in the industry with
amazing links to clients and suppliers throughout London and the South East. The most important of these
suppliers was Beeck Kuchen, a small, family run, German kitchen manufacturer who were able to deliver a
high quality, made to measure cabinet specification at a fantastic price.

The business has continued to grow, leading to
the change of its inherited name, CPL Kitchens,
to Charter Walk and the opening of our second
showroom in Haslemere, which showcases our
bespoke, joinery-made in- ame cabinets.

Charter Walk is a iendly team, passionate about
kitchens, with a reputation for craſtmanship and
innovative design. Our mission is to ensure our
clients are thrilled with their new kitchen and
carry on loving it for many years.
