PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

• CEA BB: Over 30,000 homeowners throughout California are being notified by mail they
are eligible to participate in CEA BB. Overall, more than 40,000 homeowners will be invited
to participate.

• Once a CEA BB Homeowner has received their letter, they must log on to their
Homeowner Dashboard to create an application before getting their permit or starting
retrofit work.

• Once their application is created, they are officially accepted into the program and the
homeowner then has nine months to complete the project:
ü Three months to:
§ Decide to Do-It-Yourself and get permit; or
§ Select contractor and get permit
ü Six months to complete the retrofit

• For a small of participants, we do have third-party inspections ™

CODE-COMPLAINT RETROFIT

• The grant provides reimbursement of up to $3,000 of qualified
retrofit costs

• Program requires 2-step approval

§ Pre-retrofit (Preliminary)- Homeowner must upload:

v Copy of permit - Scope of work/Description must state:
ü Retrofit in accordance with LA City Standard Plan #1, or
ü Retrofit in accordance with Standard Plan Set A, or
ü Retrofit per engineered plans in accordance with Chapter A3

v 3 photos of the exterior of the house
v 3 photos of crawl space before retrofit

§ Post Retrofit - Homeowner must upload:

v 3 photos of crawl space showing completed retrofit

require strapping)
v 1 photo showing access to crawl space
v Contractor invoice for EBB project / receipts (for owner/builder)
v Payment Authorization document and IRS Form W-9
