COLORFUL COUNTING

Learners did online counting tiles
activity in Kidspiration tool and
enjoyed this math work placing correct
number of colourful tiles for each
given number in the box. Pending
projects were also reviewed and
complete

WHERE I LIVE

Learners created “Where I live” project
in which they broke down their
residential address according to the
area, region, state, country and
continent. This led to a “Local to
Global” understanding.

TIRANGA!

Learners was taught about how to use Ms-
Paint software to draw pictures using
different shapes and add to those shapes.
They also learnt how to undo and redo
buttons on the drawings they create. Later,
they created national flag of India in paint
and added text against each colour in the
flag reflecting its meaning.

HOMOPHONES PRACTICE

Grade 1 Oakridgers had a fun based
learning in a web based tool on phonics
sound with different collection of words.
They were able to match the picture with
its right word and was able to locate the
correct pictures in a dsiplayed drawing

by reading the highlighted word from

a given sentence.

MY COUNTRY PROJECT

Mind Map Activity on “My
Country” was done where
learners named two or more
physical features, important
people, materials produced,
national symbols etc. about the
host country.

MAP MARKING

Learners had a brief look at the India
map, identified states and neighboring
countries. Using a web tool called”
mapsofindia” created a custom map
and spotted 5 states and 5 nearby
countries around India. Marked the
state names and country names as text
and colored each state.
