Newspaper & Comics

Grade 3 Learners wrote a Newspaper article after
watching a report on an incident that gets reported
through a web based tool ” Learn Alberta”. They
added title, caption and right picture for the story
based on the incident and described the whole
event. They also created comic strips to express their
ideas to the audience using their imagination and
creativity. They gave a title for the comic, added
characters and voice bubbles making it more
interesting and fun.

MOVIE POSTER

Video materials were used to
show a Movie trailer and Learners
created a Movie poster by
understanding the necessary
elements to be present in each
release poster.

ADVERTISEMENT POSTER

Grade 3 Learners were introduced to the basics
of MS Publisher to create colorful posters and
advertisements to familiarize a product among
the audience. They also discussed the difference
between advertising services and advertising
products. They created a poster for a product of
their imagination with details like product or
service name, logo, tagline, product information,
images with their company contact details.
Learners were able to add background color,
borders, images, colorful fonts using word Art &
text box.

Video Maker

Grade 3 Learners created a 1 minute
video animation using an online video
making tool “biteable.com” to advertise a
product of their own. They used animated
templates, colorful images, catchy phrases
and descriptions to woo the customers
through their ad video.
