सुखाथी िा त्यजेर्िद्याां र्िद्याथी िा त्यजेत्सुखम्॥

There is no knowledge for the seekers of comfort, and no comfort for the seekers of knowledge.
A seeker of comfort should give up knowledge, and a seeker of knowledge should give up comfort!!

Dear Roop Parivaar,

Namaskar !!

Happy New Year.

Hope you and your dear ones are safe and healthy.

The financial year 2021-22 brings in lot of hope for all of us and industry in particular. Year 2019-20 & 2020-
21 have been very challenging for the automotive industry in particular. After a sluggish 2019-20, Covid-19
pandemic brought surprising challenges, resulting in change in our outlook towards life and business. It was
indeed a happy noting that we as ROOP PARIVAAR, collectively rose to overcome the challenges portrayed
not once but twice. The financial Year 2021-22 marked its beginning, like last year with lockdown, though
industries were allowed to operate this time around, but the overall sentiments were very gloomy.
The second wave of pandemic hit us very severely and resulted in lot of uncertainties. Thus, making it important for us to focus on health of self and business. Together
if both are taken care then we will continue to bounce back and overcome the challenges thrown by the pandemic at us. Mental health has also come to forefront as an
important aspect to overcome such trying times. We need to develop mental immunity, by practicing self-discipline and meditation.

As an organisation, we have always believed in the strength of diversity in our workforce. Women today play a very critical and powerful role in our growth. Our
endeavour to increase diversity has allowed us to absorb female employees in technical areas. Let’s focus now to further increase diversity and leverage the strength in
diversity.

Amidst all the chaos, we as Roop Polymers, did try and contribute back to our society. We distributed essentials for Covid -19 safety like Masks and Oximeters. In future
also we are focussed to ensure that we keep contributing to the society and make a difference. I would like to congratulate entire Roop family for efficiently handling
both the Covid-19 waves & by strictly following set SOP’s. Our recognition by ACMA with Gold Award further proved it.

Now on business front like previous year’s first 3 months of current financial year were quite low due to Pandemic but thereafter things are improving towards normal.
Market sentiments are also positive. We are hopeful that no further wave of pandemic should hit us & are confident, with committed efforts of Roop Parivaar, that we
will be able to recover from initial dip in sales by aggressively working on new projects as well. Besides this to sustain & improve our bottom line internal improvements
in all areas are very important.

Safety of everyone should be our topmost priority and I urge all senior team members to work towards ensuring zero accidents. Also it is the time to play our individual
role in protecting the environment and preserve for our future generations. Synergised efforts towards saying no to plastic, planting trees, conserve and judiciously use
water will lead to protection of environment for generations to come.

Lastly, we need to prepare ourselves from any further wave of Covid-19 and ensure that all our near and dear ones are vaccinated.
Stay safe and stay healthy.

# MASK UP ROOP

We have been continuously encouraging employees to follow Covid-19 related safety behavior – specially wearing MASK.
It is evidently important now to mask-up. Benefit of all wearing masks is that the mask will help prevent Infected person’s droplets from getting into the
air and infecting others, thus reducing the spread of infection to others. Keeping this in mind we had organized a Mask Distribution Campaign across RPL
as a social Initiative under ROOP MG Jain Charitable Trust.

“Without a sense of caring,
there can be no sense of community.”

RPL-7, Sohna RRMPL, Gurugram RTPPL, Goa

As important as CSR is for the
community, it is equally valuable
for a company. CSR activities can
help forge a stronger bond
between employees and
corporations, boost morale and
help both employees and
employers feel more connected
with the world around them. With
this in mind we at Roop have
initiated this campaign to spread
the awareness on how wearing a
mask can save us and others
around us.

Automated Guided Vehicles
Sometimes called self-guided vehicles or autonomous guided vehicles, automated guided vehicles (AGVs)
are material handling systems or load carriers that travel autonomously throughout a warehouse,
distribution center, or manufacturing facility, without an onboard operator or driver.

The benefits of an AGV –
In a survey of leading companies in the material handling industry, “attracting and retaining a qualified workforce” was cited by 55% of the respondents
as their leading concern. AGVs help address this issue by replacing operators. More than that, however, AGVs are more efficient than their human
counterparts. And while their up-front cost can be substantial, they never expect overtime or holiday pay, never call in sick or take vacations, and won’t
leave to stations – they are smoother and more predictable than labor costs. work for a higher-paying competitor. While there are still costs involved
with AGVs – such as maintenance and charging

SAFETY -
AGVs are equipped with collision avoidance system. Collision avoidance is often a physical-contact sensor
installed in the bumper. As a Failsafe, should the autonomous vehicle bump into anything unexpected,
the sensor in its bumper will stop the machine immediately.

Imagine a self-repairing rubber, or super-adhesive made entirely from waste materials. EMERGING
RUBBER
It sounds like science fiction, but researchers have discovered a new kind of rubber and catalyst
that together can be used with low energy consumption to make flexible, repairable, sustainable TECHNOLOGY
objects -- including car tires.

The new rubber material, made from cheap and plentiful industrial waste products sulfur, canola
cooking oil and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) from petroleum refining, can be completely repaired
and returned to its original strength in minutes -- even at room temperature -- with an amine
catalyst.

The new type of rubber can be seamlessly repaired if damaged and can also be recycled, says
research leader Flinders University Associate Professor Justin Chalker, whose team's
breakthrough findings are described in leading international journal Chemical Science. The
amine catalyst used to trigger the reaction that causes the rubber to self-repair occurs within
minutes in some cases and it is all done at room temperature, scientists say.

"This study reveals a new concept in the repair, adhesion and recycling of sustainable rubber,“

Q-1 Let us know something about yourself and one thing which people don’t know about you?
I was born in an agricultural family in Southern Part of Kerala and did my schooling from M .G High school and graduation from
Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, Kerala. I got married in the year of 1993 to Ms. Jayasree Nair, home maker and an excellent cook.
I have 2 sons, my elder son Sayuj Nair is a Civil Engineer & MBA and currently working in Coimbatore & my younger son Sabarish Nair
is also in final year of Computer Science Engineering from Pune, who is currently Self Employed. Well my journey in Roop started in
1990 and now in my 32nd year working with Roop and at the age of 57, I still believe that every day brings in a fresh learning and that is
how I like to see the coming years also. Today in last 32 years, almost all colleagues know my working styles and priority areas, which
brings in trust and reliability amongst the team. Further, I would say that one thing people don’t know about me is the fact that I
joined Roop in the year of 1989 and left the job after a few days of working. I again came here in 1990 with a firm decision of working
with Roop and I am proud of this decision.

Q-2 Please tell us about your journey with Roop Polymers Ltd.? Mr. Surendran Nair
A benefit I got of starting early in 1990 and of having very limited strength of approximately 20 colleagues, was directly related to Plant Head
areas which I was exposed to. I learned and did work in excise, sales tax, income tax areas and also got opportunity of doing
liaisoning with every Government department. This experience I also use today and also support all the departments when it needed.

challenging work I faced. Then comes the major challenge of changing with time and ideas and we as seniors need to respect them and give them space to create and
utilization of technology. I had to be mentally strong to live up to the challenges and recreate. On a lighter side being with this young generation makes me feel younger.
I believe I was able to do justice. All this could not have been possible without
support of seniors and fellow colleagues. Q-9 What has been your driving force to succeed in making unit-II operation’s
successful?
Q-5 Any message for your colleagues of RPL?
