อาหาร แตก่ ่อนเดนิ ทางเขากลบั เจองเู หา่ ตวั หนงึ่ นอนแนน่ ง่ิ อยหู่ น้าบ้านเสยี กอ่ น"นี่คอื งเู หา่ ทมี่ พี ษิ ร้ายแรงนะ่ รึ ? ทาไมถึง
นอนไมข่ ยบั อยา่ งนลี ้ ะ่ " ชาวนาพดู พมึ พากบั ตวั เอง ก่อนสงั เกตเหน็ วา่ ตามตวั ของเจ้างเู หา่ นนั้ มีหยดนา้ แขง็ เลก็ ๆ เกาะไป
ทวั่ "ออ๋ .. ปกติงไู มถ่ กู กบั อากาศหนาว ๆ สนิ ะ ช่างนา่ สงสารเสยี จริง" แตถ่ ึงแม้ชาวนาเฒา่ จะรู้สกึ เวทนาแคไ่ หน ก็ยงั ลงั เลวา่
จะช่วยงเู หา่ ตวั นไี ้ ว้ดหี รือไม่ เพราะกลวั จะเป็ นอนั ตรายตอ่ ตวั เอง"แตฉ่ นั คงปล่อยให้เจ้างตู วั นตี ้ ายไปตอ่ หน้าตอ่ ตาไมไ่ ด้.."
เมื่อคดิ ได้ดงั นนั้ ชาวนาเฒา่ จงึ ถอดเสอื ้ คลมุ ของตวั เอง เอาไปหอ่ ตวั ของงเู หา่ อยา่ งแนน่ หนา แล้วอ้มุ ขนึ ้ มาไว้แนบอกหวงั ให้
เจ้างรู ู้สกึ อบอนุ่ มากขนึ ้ เมื่องเู หา่ รู้สกึ ดขี นึ ้ จากความอบอนุ่ ทีไ่ ด้รับ พละกาลงั กก็ ลบั คืนมาในท่สี ุด แตท่ นั ทีท่เี หน็ ชาวนามนั ก็
เกิดอาการตกใจ แล้วฉกไปยงั แขนทนั ทตี ามสญั ชาตญาณก่อนเลอื ้ ยหนเี ข้าป่ าไป ชาวนาเฒา่ พยายามห้ามเลอื ดตวั เองให้
หยดุ ไหล ทวา่ พษิ ร้ายแรงกลบั ซมึ เข้าไปในร่างกายเสยี แล้ว หลงั จากนนั้ ไมน่ าน ชาวนาเฒา่ ก็สนิ ้ ใจลงอยา่ งนา่ เวทนา..

Once upon a time in the winter in a small hut in the middle of the forest An old farmer is
going to town to buy food supplies. But before he left, he found a cobra lying still in front of
his house, “Is this a very venomous cobra? Why aren't you moving like this?" The farmer

ขยบั เข้ามาใกล้เพ่ือดวู ิธีการจบั ปลาของชาวประมงเม่ือชาวประมงหยดุ ทาการจบั ปลาชว่ งขณะหนง่ึ และ
กลบั บ้านไปทานมือ้ เยน็ แตไ่ ด้ทงิ ้ แหไว้ท่ีริมตลง่ิ เจ้าลงิ ซง่ึ เป็นสตั ว์ที่ชอบเลียนแบบคนมากท่ีสดุ ชนิดหนงึ่ มนั
รีบลงมาจากยอดไม้และพยายามทาเหมือนชาวประมง มนั จบั แหและเหว่ียงลงไปในแมน่ า้ แตแ่ หได้พลั วนั
หอ่ ห้มุ ตวั มนั และลากเอามนั ตกนา้ ไปด้วยก่อนท่ีลมหายใจสดุ ท้ายของเจ้าลงิ จะหมดลง มนั ได้พดู กบั ตวั เอง
วา่ “มนั ก็สมควรแล้วละ สาหรับข้าที่ธุระก็ไมใ่ ชท่ ่ีจะต้องมาเหว่ียงแหหาจบั ปลา”

A MONKEY perched upon a lofty tree saw some Fishermen casting their nets into a river, and
narrowly watched their proceedings.The Fishermen after a while gave up fishing, and on going home
to dinner left their nets upon the bank.The Monkey, who is the most imitative of animals, descended
from the treetop and endeavored to do as they had done. Having handled the net, he threw it into
the river, but became tangled in the meshes and drowned.With his last breath he said to himself, “I
am rightly served; for what business had I who had never handled a net to try and catch fish?”

หน่ึงแหลกคาโคลน แมก่ บหาลกู กบนอ้ ยไมเ่ จอจึงไปถามหาจากพชี่ ายและพี่สาวของมนั วา่ เกิดอะไรข้ึนกบั เจา้ กบนอ้ ย "สตั ว์
ประหลาดตวั ใหญม่ ากๆ ครับแม"่ หน่ึงในน้นั พดู ข้ึน "มนั เหยยี บนอ้ งกบนอ้ ยดว้ ยเทา้ อนั ใหญโ่ ตของมนั " "ใหญ่แคไ่ หนกนั !

A cow walked into a swamp full of reeds to drink water. After it was heavily dropped into the water.

ต้องอยอู่ ยา่ งอกสน่ั ขวญั แขวนแบบนีเ้หลอื เกิน จงึ ตดั สินใจจะจบชีวติ ลงด้วยการกระโดดลงนา้ แตพ่ อเจ้ากระตา่ ยวงิ่ ไปถึงสระนา้ บรรดากบซง่ึ
