Permaset Super Cover Super Opaque Waterbased Ink Using advanced polymer technology in PERMASET SUPERCOVER, Colormaker has created a water-based screen printing ink that provides unsurpassed color opacity on the darkest fabrics, while maintaining minimal hand. Available in 13 Standard Colors, Black, White, First Down White, 8 Glow Colors, 4 CMYK Process Colors, 4 Metallic Colors and SUPERCOVER Print Paste. PERMASET SUPERCOVER First Down White is designed as an opaque under-base for over-printing. SUPERCOVER WHITE is our premium opaque white. It has the highest levels of titanium dioxide pigment and binder for use on dark coloured fabrics. Excellent opacity in a water-based ink! FIRST DOWN WHITE is used as an under-base or flash white by Trade printers who wish to print on dark fabrics but use regular Aqua colours to retain their superior softness and vibrancy. Normally used only with multi-station print facilities. Permaset Puff Paste PERMASET Puff Paste is used as a base for a multitude of colors and effects when mixed with PERMASET Aqua & Super Cover Inks. This high performance, special effects printing medium, dramatically swells upon heating to produce a vertical rise, giving a 3D effect. PERMASET® Puff Paste is used generally to enhance designs and to provide a raised, textured feel to the finished print. BENEFITS PERMASET Puff Paste, once cured, enhances designs with its unique puff effect. Prints are transformed into a 3D finish that exhibits excellent definition of print even though the actual print manifests some lateral expansion on cure. A soft textured feel is experienced with unsurpassed adhesion onto fabrics. PERMASET® Puff Paste is wash and dry clean resistant. MIXING Start with 10 to 20% of Puff Paste to Ink, the more Puff Paste, the Higher the puff but the lighter your color will become. CURING Heat fixation cannot take place until all water has evaporated from the product. Once printing is complete, allow the garment to air dry for 15 minutes. Once PERMASET Puff Paste is dry, cure in an oven for 4-5 minutes at 320F. PERMASET Puff Paste requires a definite time/temperature cycle for optimum performance. Curing at temperatures that are too low can result in inadequate cure (and therefore little or no rise of the print) while curing at temperatures that are too high can result in over cure of the print causing poor adhesion to the fabric or puff micro-spheres to explode and collapse. PRINTING 86 mesh printed with double stroke for optimal performance. IMPORTANT Prior to attempting any print run, experimentation with a test piece is recommended in order to test for adhesion, wash, dry-clean and rub fastness. 300 ML $29.99 1 Liter $39.99 6

Heat Curing of Permaset Inks Heat setting of Permaset Aqua is absolutely imperative. There are six methods that customers have used: 1. Conveyor drying Tunnel or belt dryer is the equipment employed by most professionals screen printers; 160oC (320oF) for 3 minutes is our recommended cure regime. Others temperature/time regimes are listed on all Permaset inks. 2. Hand Iron. The prints must first be completely dry. Results are reportedly not as good as tunnel drying, but we have seen no evidence of difference. Metallics may be an issue as the platey pigment structure can reflect heat and thus limit the amount of heat getting to the print/fabric interface. Thus for Metallics particularly and for SuperCover prints to a lesser degree, turning the garment inside out and ironing on the reverse side of the print will help get the heat to where it is most directly required. 3. Again after air drying, fold piece/garment, wrap in AlFoil (Aluminium Foil) and bake at low heat (90oC; 194oF) in a domestic oven. 4. After thorough air drying, place in tumble-dryer for around 30 minutes and test. 5. Heat Press. As with all the options above, the prints must first be completely dry. Heat Presses are a favoured option for many start-up printers as they are compact to house, cheap to buy and quick to operate. However, results can be very variable with heat presses, so they are not an option that we support. 6. Flash Dry/Cure Units. As with all the options above, the prints must first be completely dry. Flash Units are also a favoured option for many start-up printers, particularly those that started printing with plastisols. They too are compact, cheap and quick. However, results can be even more variable than with heat presses, so they are not an option that we support. All these methods are subject to suit local conditions, moisture content of fabrics etc. Our advice is to do a test piece (or better, multiple pieces). These can be cured with the proper print, then taken out and evaluated at various stages of the curing or heat-set process to test washability. Our emphasis on moisture content of the fabric and ensuring that prints are thoroughly dry before curing is based on the fact that, until and unless all the moisture has been removed from the ink AND the fabric, the print cannot get over 212F, so cannot get close to cure temperature and therefore will not cure. PERMATONE COLOR MATCHING PERMATONE inks are a water-based color-matching ink system from Colormaker. The PERMATONE matching system is made up of 12 inks. Printing Tips Standard Cure Inks Best practice to "pre-shear" ink before introduction to the screen. Do this slicing and folding the with an ink spatula. Do NOT mix with a power drill, friction from mechanical mixers other than a "turn about" style mixer will thicken up the ink body. Poorly dyed polyesters or too much heat in the curing process can compromise ANY low bleed inks ability to block migration. For printing onto tye dye fabrics, 2 strokes / flash/ 2 strokes for optimal performance Ink has optical brighteners which may appear at the top of the ink as a blue gel. Simply mix it back in the ink before production. If ink climbs the squeegee, the ink has not been mechanically sheered enough. Carefully transfer ink into a container and shear with a paint knife, cutting and folding over on itself as you stir the ink. HO/LB inks have the potential to ghost on some fabrics due to the dyes used. Thoroughly test on stone washed or light colors. Tests of this product have been very successful on various fabrics to include 100% Polyester Jerseys, 100% Polyester Performance fabrics, Rotary Screen printed goods, and Sublimated prints. TRQ Low Bleed Barrier Grey is non-phthalate to comply with CPSIA phthalate regulations and cure at 290F to 300F. Features MAXIMUM Bleed Resistance High performance underbase for 100% Polyester. Creamy, short body plastisol for easy printing. Low-tack formulation for fast shearing action. Super Stretch capabilities User friendly, no viscosity modifications necessary. Superior low bleed Fast Flashing times Low Cure at 290 to 300F Recommended Parameters Mesh Count: 86 to 155 Tension 25-35 n/cm2 Squeegee Durometer: 60/90/60, 70/90/70, 60 or 70 Profile: Sharp Stroke: Hard Flood, Medium Stroke Pressure: Low to medium pressure Angle: 10-15 degrees Stencil: 2 over 2 Emulsion Over Mesh: 15-20% Off contact: 1/16" Flash: 220F (2-3 seconds on HO Flash) Cure: 270-320F Clean Up: ECO4440 On press wash Pint $33.33 Quart $51.32 Gallon $146.64 5 Gallon $606.80 Printing Tips Low Cure Inks Adjust flash cure temperature and dwell time so ink is just dry to touch. Avoid excessive flash temperatures to protect fabric and migration of dyes. . For best results, use a print-flash-print technique to ensure sufficient ink deposit on dark fabrics. Use 86–230t/in (34-90t/cm) mesh screens with high tension for best performance, ink release and opacity. Lower mesh equals more deposit. Use higher meshes to achieve half tones. Adjust your print parameters to allow this ink to clear fully on the second stroke using medium to low pressure for best dye blocking and opacity. As this ink shears down, less pressure will be required. Adjust accordingly. Curing is a time and temperature process. Using a lower temperature, at a lower belt speed will provide the best result without damaging the fabric. A behavior for high-opacity low cure inks is to "body-up" or gain viscosity when at rest. Be sure to "Pre-shear" or agitate this ink before use to achieve optimal flow before printing. Be careful to not use highspeed drills or similar equipment that will create friction-heat that can cause the ink to begin to cure. Store ink buckets up off of cold floors to reduce pre-shear time. POLY150 Max Poly HO/LB White Max Poly White is a plastisol ink specifically formulated to address dye migration problems on a variety of specialty substrates, Including 100% Polyester fabrics, Athletic Uniforms and any other blend that is prone to dye migration. NOTE: Poorly dyed polyester or too much heat in the curing process can overcome any low bleed inks ability to block the migration. For severe migration use TRQ880 Barrier Grey as an underbase. Advantages Maximum Bleed resistance for standard cure ink Short body for easy printing. Fast shearing action means higher press speeds. Great low bleed qualities for printing on 100% polyester. Will not bleach out colors that are printed over top when used as an underlay. ADV875 Curable Reducer Advantage Curable Reducer, add various amounts of reducer to plastisol ink to lower the viscosity (thickness) for easier printing or specialty applications, i.e. to allow the ink to penetrate the fibers more completely for a softer feel on light garments. Please note that the addition of any soft hand product could cause increased fibrillation or fading of the print during the laundry process. Caution: Lowering ink viscosity, also lowers opacity and bleed resistance, so use with care and always test print to check for acceptable print results and cure. Estimated Percentages vary by ink color, mesh, and substrate color. ADV890 Stretch Additive Advantage Premium Stretch Additive can be added to plastisol ink. To create ink with a ink film or print that will stretch without cracking. Recommended use by weight, Mix 3 parts ink and 1 part additive. Caution: Testing should be done for dye migration or bleeding. Adding the additive to a low bleed ink affects the bleed resistance. Printing Parameters Varies by ink used Pint $25.95 Quart $39.96 Gallon $103.84 5 Gallon $498.40 NyloBond Additive Nylon Adhesion Catalyst NYLOBOND is an additive that, when mixed with plastisol inks, will provide adhesion to most water-proofed Nylon jackets and other nylon garments. Application For use with plastisol ink to adhere to nylon fabrics Works with standard and most waterproof nylons Features Stable life once mixed of approximately 12 hours Eliminates need to stock specialty nylon inks Mixing Instructions Add 10-15% Nylobond to the plastisol by weight. Below are 10% mixture quick reference sizes 2 oz for pint of ink 4 oz for quart of ink Pint for Gallon of ink General Instructions When NYLOBOND is first mixed with plastisol, it may lower the viscosity of the ink considerably. If the ink is too thin to print successfully, allow the mixture to sit for an hour or so, to slowly thicken. Shelf Life 10 percent mixture: Up to 16 hours 15 percent mixture: Up to 8 hours Curing A NYLOBOND/Plastisol mixture must be cured according to the ink it is mixed into. Curing temperatures should not exceed 285-300°F Overcuring is not recommended as this may affect adhesion. Lower temperatures may be satisfactory as the NYLOBOND/Plastisol mixture will cross-link (but very slowly) at room temperature when catalyzed sufficiently. Adhesion If cured correctly, prints should be sufficiently dry for handling and light stacking when they exit the dryer. DO NOT TEST FOR ADHESION UNTIL 72 HOURS AFTER PRINTING. If prints do not resist scratching or digging with a fingernail, this may be an indication that insufficient NYLOBOND was added. The more NYLOBOND that is added to the ink, the faster prints will cure, but the mixture will also set up faster in the can and on the screen. Wash Up The NYLOBOND/Plastisol mixture should be removed from screens and squeegees as soon as possible after printing to avoid locking into the mesh. 2 oz $15.95 TRQ Low Cure, High Opaque Pint $38.95 & Low Bleed Mixing Base Use TRQ Low cure Mixing base with premium pigment system to create custom High Opaque Low Bleed colors. Flash: 220F Cure: 280-320F Inks are formulated to cure at a lower temperature to minimize the opportunity for dye-migration, while also lowering energy consumption, lowering production space temperatures, and preventing shrinkage of heat -sensitive fabrics. But this is an ideal ink as it easily cures 280F to 320F for use on garments that are prone to bleed, as well as cotton and cotton blends. . The new and improved TRQ low-cure inks are creamy with improved printability, offering a softer hand and a matte finish with an improved fiber mat-down. TRQ low cure, low bleed inks are designed for cotton/poly blends as well as 100% polyester. Caution: Adding any reducers or additives can lower bleed resistance, and opacity, or increase the cure times of ink. STIR the ink prior to printing on the press and after the addition of reducers or additives. Always, Test dryer temperatures and wash test printed products before and during a production run. Cure time and temp changes with substrates, ink deposit and method curing. Print Parameters See TRQ inks for detailed description on Pint $25.95 Quart $39.96 Gallon $103.84 5 Gallon $498.40 20

Hi Dro mesh is a “S” thread or thin thread mesh. This specialty mesh contains a thinner thread which equals wider mesh opening, allowing ink to clear more easily. • Less Squeegee Pressure • More opaque prints • Easily holds the same details • Use with Waterbase or Plastisol Saati HI-DRO mesh allows for superior ink transfer compared to conventional mesh due to the wider mesh opening. The thinner thread also releases from the ink much more readily. As a result, you need lower squeegee pressure to get the ink to clear the screen. Lower squeegee pressure also means less ink is driven into the shirt and instead stays on top of the fabric. This directly impacts the opacity of your print. Resulting in a brighter and softer ink deposit. Caution: Hi-Dro mesh, like ALL thin thread mesh is more fragile and easier to break then standard thread mesh. 20x24 21x28 23x31 122 white $38.62 $40.33 $44.40 157 white $39.43 $46.62 $45.05 198 white $42.31 $48.65 $46.33 230 yellow $42.31 $51.36 $48.91 305 yellow $43.31 $53.36 $51.91 Titan Ultra Tech H.T. Nortech ECO Frames Re-stretch your own screen in two minutes! The ECO Frame is quickly gaining popularity in the screen printing industry. ECO Frames are constructed from a superior grade of aluminum for strength, consistency, and durability. All that combined allows the frames to stretch and hold mesh tension. The frames will meet or exceed manufacturers’ specs and will be as good, if not better than, the static frames currently on the market. The ECO Frame is not only a cost-effective and time-saving solution, it is also eco-friendly! ECO Friendly benefits: 1. The frames are constructed using fully recyclable aluminum. 2. The mesh panels are 100% recyclable. 3. The mesh is securely attached without adhesives. 4. Recycling mesh panels supports a “chemical-free” wash booth process. 5. Re-stretching on demand eliminates shipping frames back and forth, reducing the carbon footprint. Mesh Selection Hi-TEX, or standard mesh, has a thicker thread compared to Hi-DRO. The Hi-TEX has been the workhorse of the plastisol textile industry for decades. The threads can hold high tension levels and are more resistant to tearing and popping while on the press, compared to thin thread meshes. Hi-DRO, or "S" thin thread, has long been the standard for printing water-based ink. Its thinner thread profile and wider dimensional openings allow inks to flow through and more easily clean the screen. Thin thread mesh lets you maintain opacity and print higher levels of detail. Over the last several years, more shops have been gravitating towards using Hi-DRO for their plastisol prints, especially for their base prints. CAUTION: Thin thread mesh can tear more easily. Screen Smoothing Kits Our Screen Smoothing Kits offer the ultimate solution for achieving flawlessly smooth prints that will wow your customers. This comprehensive package includes everything you need to elevate your printing process to the next level. Let's explore what the Starter Kit has to offer: Roller Squeegee: The star of the kit, our top-of-the-line Roller Squeegee ensures an impeccable smoothness that will make your prints stand out. With its innovative design and superior performance, the Roller Squeegee guarantees exceptional print quality and a flawless finish. 23" x 31" Frame with PTFE: The Ultimate Smoothing Kit includes a professional-grade frame with PTFE professionally laminated to it. This ensures a perfectly smooth and consistent surface for your prints, eliminating any imperfections and enhancing the overall print quality. Use Roller Squeegees to achieve the absolute smoothest prints you've ever accomplished on press! When laying down an underbase, you may have noticed that as the mesh releases its contact with the substrate, it pulls up on the fibers of the garment, resulting in fibrillation. This phenomenon significantly reduces the resolution, detail, and smoothness of your final print when adding colors on top. The solution? Incorporate a Roller Squeegee after the flash to matte down the fibers. By creating a smooth surface, colors printed on top of this surface bring out the intricate details and significantly increase the overall smoothness, delivering a soft hand feel. Geo Knight Heat Presses Manufactured in USA DK20S 16x20 Digital Swinger The Digital Knight DK20S is our 'flagship' 16x20 swing-away heat transfer press. The DK20S combines a heavy-duty solid steel industrial grade pressing framework with accurate and easy to use electronics to provide the operator with the best possible features and equipment needed for today's various heat transfer applications. This press is the most popular 16x20 machine in the industry. It is world-renowned as the top-end, robust-workhorse of all swing away heat presses. $1,850.00 DK20SPT Twin 16x20Air Op Auto Swing The DK20SPT is the SAME Overall press as the DK20SP, with the SAME Features of the DK20SP, but in a **dual-shuttle twin-station** framework for increased operator production. While one side is pressing, the operator can load and unload the other side, and greatly reduce both operator idle time and heat platen idle time. Like the DK20SP single-table version, the DK20SPT has the same benefits of simple push button operation, fully digital temperature & time control, interchangeable All-Thread™ bottom tables, and solid casting design with an affordable automatic heat press price. It is available in a 16" x 20" heater block size. For demanding press runs and super consistent results, the DK20SPT is an ideal press for meeting requirements that go beyond what a manual transfer press and operator can handle, as well as what a single loading table layout. $4,950.00 DC16 Digital Combo 14x16 Heat Press The Digital Combo multipurpose swing-away heat press comes standard with a 14"x16" heat platen and lower table. The interchangeability of the Digital Combo is performed quickly and safely. If your product offering is going to reach beyond just flat & fabric items, the Digital Combo is the superior heat press machinery solution. The Digital Combo press allows for pressing over 2" thick products. The Digital Combo utilizes quick-change attachments for heat transferring images onto a surprisingly wide variety of materials $1,525.00 DC Twin Shuttle Attachment Press NOT Included The Digital Combo Twin Shuttle Upgrade is a dual station Add-On for the DC16 or DC16AP swing away heat press Everyone knows that long term costs are not in the press equipment but in Labor Costs. Adding a twin shuttle removes wasted operator time waiting for a pressing cycle to finish. It also negates heat platen idle time while waiting for the operator to load and unload. Production is maximized with no additional labor cost. The shuttle table creates less fatigue than swinging the head as well. Unlike easily tearable teflon 'hammocks', this shuttle is solid machined-flat aluminum, holding any heavy, sharp, and rigid imprintable products without concern. Laying out fabric, shirts and garments is a breeze, with the two 14x16 silicone pads positioned just like the standard table configuration on the press. For almost double the productivity per single operator, the Digital Combo Twin Shuttle Upgrade is an unbeatable value. $650.00 DC CAP Attachment - Press NOT Included Attachment is Upgrade for the DC16 or DC16AP swing away heat press. Caps are flawlessly printed with a curved heater block and curved bottom form with a special cap stretching device. Optional interchangeable bottom forms available. $375.00 More Models of GEO Knight Presses available on Kolormatrix.com 347
