Snowmobiling

Rangeley offers 170 miles of groomed trails connecting
with hundreds of miles of trails maintained by other area
clubs, and the ITS trail system connecting Maine, NH and
Canada. Our trails are groomed daily by the Rangeley
Lakes Snowmobile Club. Trails are well marked, and
an excellent trail map is available. Cook-out areas are
available along the trails and if you need gas, a place
to stay, or a bite to eat, there are trailside services

X-C Skiing & Snowshoeing

Rangeley Lakes Trails Center, located just 4 miles from
town at the base of Saddleback, offers 55 km of world-
class, superbly groomed trails for classic or skate Nordic
skiing for all ability levels, as well as groomed snowshoe
and fat bike single-track trails. Full rental equipment for
skis, snowshoes, and bikes are available. Enjoy snacks
and hot soups at the cozy yurt lodge. RLTC offers a
special discount rate on Maine Days, the first Sunday
of each month (except holidays) for adult Nordic day
passes. Mondays are Ladies’ Day, 1/2 price pass and a
free soup. Tuesdays are Men’s Day, 1/2 price pass and
free soup, Wednesdays are BOGO, bring a friend! Check

Fat Tire Biking

Fat tire biking is becoming very popular in the Rangeley
area. In addition to the trails at the Rangeley Lakes Trails
Center, fat tire bike riders may use snowmobile trails and
some Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust Hiking Trails. Trails
that are groomed include Hatchery Brook Trail and the
Maine Forestry Museum Trails. Enjoy fantastic groomed
trails with mountain and lake views.

Skating

Enjoy pond skating like the old days.Two rinks are maintained
for hockey and figure skating by the Rangeley Skating Club.
Skates can be borrowed at Ecopelagicon Nature Store
– sizes for the entire family. Everything is free of charge.
Rinks are lit until 10 PM. Enter at Haley Pond Park, 7 Pond,
