In 1523 a man named jacques cartier who goes
on and finds canada and establish canada for france. In
1608 a man named Samuel de Champlain finish the
establishment in canada and is know as the father of
france. Then they found huron indian tribe. Which they
later trade weapons and other things. The french went to
canada only because they were looking for beavers so
they could take their hides and make clothes and they
where water resistance so they would not get rewind if
they were wet. The french went around canada in two
groups one group would trade things like weapons and
clothes. The other group would try to convert them to
christianity.

The population of the large group of catholic of new
france grew at a very slow pace by 1700 about 250,000
europeans lived in english colonies. 15,000 in french north
america, 4,000 in spanish north america. In 1750 the
french had a large space of land in north america.

A man named jacques marquette tried to convert
natives to become christian. but the natives were not very
opened to this idea. Jesuit missionary were explorers and
geographers of the mississippi region ohio valley and
other areas. They covered a lot of area and the french
empire grew at a very slowly because canada had bad
weather. Also they had know heating bad natives that will
kill you and no gold silver. They created fortes by the
mississippi river and in detroit. The french denied elective
representatives assemblies.

There were three wars the first war was about land
against new england and france and was called king
william's war took place in 1689-1697. The second one
was about french canadian attacks NE colonies and
spanish florida attacks south carolina. The british take
over nova scotia , newfoundland and hudson bay from
new france was called Queen anne's war 1702-1713.
The third war was about was about english colonies
attacked by france and spain over territory disputes. New
england colonist capture french fort louisburg. Peace
treaty gave the fort back to france. Angered the colonist,
They wanted the land.
