PROFILE

Studying a diploma in Architecture allowed me to develop my passion for design and technical skills required
to work in architectural practices. By proposing several architectural concepts as part of the course, I have learnt
how to creatively solve problems in an innovative way, which I illustrated in my sketches, models, technical
drawings and rendered visuals. These skills and the experience I have gained, makes me excited to be part of
this industry.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

 Architectural Assistant, Public works Nakuru (January 2022 – April 2022)

I oversaw producing different projects and participated in the design process. I also led the production of design
and access statement sent to the local authorities for major residential schemes in the firm. I have learnt the
importance of accuracy in the building industry and I also learnt how to design different building types in
compliance with building regulations.

 Retail Associates, Digital Matt (March 2021 – July 2021)

Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service. Remained knowledgeable on
products offered and discussed available options while following and achieving department’s sales goals. I have
learnt how to work as part of a team, how to handle payments, how to greet and engage with customers and
many other interpersonal skills.

 Math Tutor, Nakuru school (January 2020 – April 2020)

Teaching students at neighboring Nakuru school while improving the student knowledge about mathematical
equations. The work developed my confidence together with passing on knowledge to different people with
different learning skills.

SKILLS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

 I participated in all phases of the design and construction process on four residential projects
under a registered architect. I worked hand in hand with the clients to help design their dream
house. In my routine survey, all clients were satisfied with our work.

Throughout my study years and work experience in various places I have gained soft skills which are relevant in
my field. Some of the soft skills include: Presentation skills, Public speaking, Creativity, Active listening,
Punctuality, Decision making and Collaboration

Technical Knowledge

Including CAD and model making and awareness of buildings safety and regulations, during my time at the
college, previous education and relevant work experiences, I have gained valuable understanding for set of
skills as reflected in recently completed projects. Software application that I feel confident using includes,
ArchiCAD, Sketch up, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and most Microsoft applications.

EDUCATION
Kabete National Polytechnic (September 2019 – November 2022)

My three years at the college was considered by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) to be
equivalent to foundation. I currently completed my third year for diploma in Architecture.
