Bulletin 3

Bulletin 3

Headteacher Bulletin #3 (10.9.21)

Dear Parent/Carer

Another week almost over, time is passing so
quickly! A massive thank you for the great
return of our data forms and flu forms, it is
much appreciated.

As you know, our breakfast club is funded by
Greggs. We are very lucky to receive such
fantastic support from them and are grateful
for this continuing. They have recently been in
touch to advise that we can apply for help to
alleviate financial pressure/s felt by families
such as the provision of food and living
necessities following the Coronavirus pandemic.
We can apply for the following: fridge, freezer,
cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer,
beds/bedding, school uniform vouchers and
food grocery vouchers. Please contact me
directly and I will be more than happy to apply
on your behalf.

We are always evaluating how well we do in our
roles in school and to this end are very keen
to get your feedback. Please could you take 5
minutes to complete the survey which will be
sent to you separately from this bulletin? It is
a Forms survey which should be easily
accessed from your phone or tablet. If you’d
prefer to do this in school, please come to the
office door and we will have the survey
available on an iPad.

I was delighted to meet with so many Primary
7 parents and carers to share information
about the forthcoming Inverclyde trip. We
are currently planning a 1 night residential for
Primary 6 children, so look out for more
details on that coming soon. Part of our School
Improvement Plan is experiential learning – so
we are hoping to get all classes out with the
school grounds on trips/visits as soon as
possible.

Our Family Learning Worker, Jade Burton, is
going to be joining us on a Friday. She will do a
‘natter and chatter’ in the playground,
followed by some work on outdoor learning
with children and their families. We will send
a message with this later, it would be lovely to
see you if you have time to spare.

Lastly, Mrs Smith has asked me to pass on her
thanks for information re child/ren’s absence.
Phoning the office to let us know why your
child/ren is off saves a lot of time and we
really appreciate this.

As usual, if you have any questions, queries or
concerns, please do not hesitate to
contact me:
[email protected].

In Partnership,

Susan Lauder
