Bulletin 22

Bulletin 22

Headteacher Bulletin #22 (4.2.22)

Dear Parent/Carer

Thank you to everyone who completed our
parent/carer survey. We use this information
to help us improve and take every comment and
suggestion on board. I will share the findings
with you, along with action points we have.

We are completing a mental health audit this
week and next, looking at the picture across
our school and utilising resources we have to
support our children. We purchased a new
resource ‘My Happy Mind’ and are evaluating
the effectiveness of this so far as well. We will
share some of the ‘My Happy Mind’ work with
you at home.

Another reminder that the school is closed for
the February break on Friday 11th, Monday 14th
and an in-service day on Tuesday 15th. Children
will finish for the long weekend at their usual

time on Thursday 10th February and return on
Wednesday 16th February.

On return from the long weekend, we will
reduce our lunch sittings to two… P3/4, P4/5
and P5/6 will have lunch at 12.30pm and P1, P2
and P7 will have lunch at 12.45pm. We continue
to offer a range of lunchtime clubs for all our
classes.

Again, after the February break, we hope to
be able to offer some more after school clubs.
More information about these will come soon…

We have ordered wellies for all children in the
school so hopefully this will reduce the
number of wet feet and dirty shoes! We
understand that some parent/carers are
unhappy about their children getting dirty.
We will communicate more re this to get your
opinions… We do access the field daily, but
can reduce this if this is what parent/carers
w

want? Regular field access is reducing
incidents in the playground as children are
enjoying the space and playing imaginative
games. We are, however, training our P5/6
children to be young leaders and they will be
delivering a playground games programme to
our younger children very soon.

Tuesday 8th of February is ‘Safer Internet
Day’ and we will be doing a variety of activities
to promote this across the school.

As usual, if you have any questions, queries or
concerns, please do not hesitate to
contact me:
[email protected].

In Partnership,

Susan Lauder
