ad Teacher’s Message

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is March already, time is really flying by and it has been
super busy in school as usual!

There is lots happening in the coming weeks and months.
The ‘dates for your diary’ section at the end of the newsletter
has been updated and should be your ‘go to’ for what is
happening. There are a few changes in dates for trips and
remember we have our two week holiday followed by the
Easter long weekend this year. We will also continue to send
out reminders through the school app and email … and of
course we update Twitter regularly.

As always, please let us know if there is anything concerning
you about your child. If you phone the office in the first
instance, Mrs Smith will arrange for your child’s class teacher
to be in touch or and appointment can be arranged with
either Mrs Gibson or myself.

In partnership,

Susan Lauder
Head Teacher

The Sports Council

The Sports
Council meet with
Mrs McKie. They
are very excited
about all the
different activities
they are planning.

Their first job is planning our ‘Day Outdoors’ at
Eglinton Park on Thursday 16th May and they
will also be organising Sport's Day on Tuesday
4th June.

The STEM Council

The STEM
(Science,
Technology,
Engineering and
Maths) Council
meet with Mrs
Gibson.

They are going to be planning a whole week of
activities for our very own STEM week in May.

The Pupil Council

The Pupil Council meet with Mrs Lauder. Their
first even is planning and organising the
‘Daffodil Tea’ which will be held Thursday 18th
April in the afternoon. We will be looking for
donations of cakes and goodies and will be
entertaining you with spring songs and poems
… more details nearer the time!

Running track…

As you know, we have used some of our Pupil
Equity Fund to pay for a running track in our field.
This should be finished within the next week and we
are all very excited about this! This will be used by
classes daily to do the Daily Mile and will be
accessed at break and lunch as well as by classes
for planned activities. It will be great to be able to
use this area all year round - the field got so water
logged it was often out of bounds. We are hoping to
run a few clubs using the track too… watch this
space!
