Welcome to Primary 2!

Welcome back after a very warm and sunny summer holidays. I hope you are all rested
and ready for a busy year ahead. It is a privilege to be your child’s Primary 2 teacher
and I am excited to make this school year as special and full of fun learning for
everyone in the class.

Please find below some useful information that will help your child be ready and
prepared for school.

 Your child should come dressed for PE with the uniform top, casual bottoms and
shoes that are suitable for outdoor learning. It would be useful if you could
ensure that all your child’s school clothing is clearly labelled to help identify lost
items.

 We will follow relevant guidelines for Covid, that means everybody will be
expected to wash hands before entering and leaving the classroom. If you would
like to provide your child with their own soap and/or hand cream that is fine.
Please ensure that names are clearly written on them.

 We like children to have access to fresh drinking water during the day so please
provide your child with a labelled and filled water bottle. We do not allow juice
in the classroom so please ensure that your child has enough water to drink
during the day.

 I am looking forward to catching up with you on the phone to discuss your
child’s learning and to set their targets for the upcoming term during our
Learning Conversations that will start week beginning 23rd August.
