Blacklands Primary School Parent/Carer Survey – Big Message 6 th October 2023 Tickled Pink… What do you think we do well? What do you like? What are our successes? Everything Great communication from the school with regards ton learning progress, dates for diary The school keeps us well informed with what is going on in the school Work very hard with the children when they need extra support Go at child’s pace as all learn differently Parents kept well up to date Look after the children well Great communication Make time for all the children and take good care of them Communicating with pupils and parents Great education Makes schooling a great experience for children and the adults. Like a big family After school learning/clubs I think you give the children plenty of choice and plenty of help Getting to see all the good work Seeing everything Success is all the children putting in the hard work Children’s welfare Look after the children. Friendly staff Communication. After school clubs Teaching Variety of learning I think you have done a great job in keeping children enthusiastic in learning ACTION POINTS Maintain and grow successes across our school community Green for Growth… What could we do better? What would you like to see improved? Nothing No complaints Bullying is rife, loads of mental bullying which needs to be addressed Nothing Better improvement with children knowing what’s wrong and right to say Not sure Happy with things More equipment for outside learning Nothing Parent’s group Everything seems very good and the children seem happy


The dinners ACTION POINTS Anti-bullying ambassadors have been appointed Anti-bullying addressed at Morning Meetings and Friday assemblies MyHappyMind used to promote positive mental health – bullying addressed through this programme NEW outdoor gym purchased with £8,500 Awards for All grant. Installed this week and children can access from Monday Parent’s group started on a Monday looking at positive behaviours and small changes which can be made. Format is cuppa, cake and chat! Children will feedback their thoughts re dinners to our facilities management team
