Headteacher Bulletin #10 (14/10/22)
Dear Parent/Carer
Our return to term 2 has been busy. Our
Halloween disco was a great success – many
thanks to all our organisers and helpers.
Primary 6 and 7 really enjoyed their visit to
‘Joseph and his Technicoloured Dreamcoat’ in
Edinburgh – we are grateful for the funding for
this from the Henry Smith foundation. Learning
Conversations were last night – if you didn’t
manage, your child/ren’s teacher will contact
you by phone.
Monday is Hallowe’en. All children can come to
school dressed up if they wish. Class teachers
will have a variety of themed activities for
children to do on the day.
Next Tuesday, selected children are going to
the Portal in Irvine to represent the school
at the Sports Hall athletics. We wish them
lots of luck and hope they enjoy this
experience.
Wednesday, is the first ‘Champions League’ of
the session, where some of our footballers will
represent the school in our locality football
tournament. Mr Devlin will pick the team – who
will attend Kilwinning Sports Club from 1-
2.30pm.
A reminder, we are outside EVERY day. All
children take part in a daily mile each day as
well as being out for break, lunch and outdoor
learning. Please send your child with a jacket
each day.
Looking ahead, I thought it would be helpful
to have some information about some of the
Christmas activities we have planned.
Each Friday in December, children can wear
a Christmas jumper or Christmas accessories.
Parties are as follows - children should come
to school dressed to party!

a Christmas craft fayre/fun afternoon.
As usual, if you have any questions, queries or
concerns, please do not hesitate to
contact me:
[email protected].
In Partnership,
Susan Lauder
