History of Me

Geography
Describe a time you moved to a new place or visited a new place
When I was little, about 2 or 3 years old, my
family and I drove all the way to El Paso, Texas
for the first time to visit my cousins on
Thanksgiving. It was one of the longest car rides
I have ever been in. Even though I was so young,
I remember it like it was yesterday. It was
winter time, so it was really cold, and there was
just so much snow falling out of the sky, in the
driveways, and on top of cars. I was outside most
of the time, playing with my cousins having
snowball fights, and building snowmen. My family
still even has videos and pictures from that time.
So lastly, that was the first time, I visited a new
place.
Religion
Describe any time you visited a church, celebrated a religious holiday,
or any belief system that you or your friends practice.
Well, every year we celebrate christmas,
which is what we call Jesus’s birthday. My family
and I celebrate christmas with my aunties,
uncles, and cousins at one of my uncles houses.
My whole family has very strong opinions about
what religion they are. My entire family are full
of christians, so when we celebrate christmas we
celebrate it with parties, presents, and christmas
trees like any other family would, but also when
we celebrate, its not about the parties, and
presents. It’s about celebrating the birth of
Jesus Christ.
Achievements
Write about an invention that has improved your life and how your life
would be different if you did not have technology.
An invention that has improved my life are
computers/laptops. Those things have improved
my life because I have used the computer at my
home for a lot of things like homework, projects,
and online activities for class. Technology has
played a big part when it comes to my grades,
because I use it for websites, like Jupiter Ed or
Schoology. So that’s how a computer improved my
life, and without technology, I wouldn’t be able to
look up a word in the dictionary, use an online
calculator, or go on the school website.
Politics
Describe your household rules. What happens if you break a
household rule? How have your household rules changed as you got
older?
My household rules are a little similar to some
of the classroom rules such as “Be respectful to
your peers, and use appropriate language”. Other
rules in my household are to obey your elders,
like your parents, and older siblings. Another
household rule is to always put family before
everything, because at the end the day, that’s all
you are going to have left. At my house if you
break a rule, just like school you get
consequences, which is either getting something
taken away from you, or getting a lecture which
is getting yelled at. Lastly, the household rules
stay the same as I get older.
Economics
Explain your household chores and how much allowance you earn.
Describe the career you want when you grow up. Explain why you
want that career.
Some household chores I have are to make my
bed in the morning when I get up, get my
homework done, and usually, once or twice a
month my family, and I clean the house, and I am
usually the one who vacuums, and brooms the
house. I don’t get an allowance, because my
parents say chores are things that you are
supposed to do, you shouldn’t have to get paid for
it. When I grow up I want to be an engineer. I
want to be an engineer because I want to create
new inventions that could possibly change the
world. Engineering also seems interesting because
some of my relatives do that for a living.
Social Structures
I have six members of my family including me.
There’s my mom Nadine, my dad Niles, and my
three brothers Nehemiah, Noris, and Niles.
Nehemiah’s the oldest, he is fifteen years old,
then there’s me, then Noris, he’s ten years old,
and lastly there’s Niles, he is the youngest one of
the four of us, he is six years old. I am the only
girl, so it can be pretty annoying, and frustrating,
with the three of them, but sometimes it’s fun
having only brothers. I also have a lot of cousins,
uncles, and aunties, from all over, but my parents
are the ones that are always there for me. They
both work really hard to buy my brothers and I
food and clothes, and everything we need. My
dad is a football coach at St. Paul High School,
and my mom is an office tech at Carson St.
Elementary. Lastly, my favorite thing to with my
family is going on road trips to different places.
