Club did 7,265 covers in dining during the month of March. This is an
increase of 1,283 covers when compared to February. The Club has had a
steady increase in covers during March. We had a very large dinner
service on March 17. This was our St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. There
were specials in the MVL and a themed buffet in the 1915 Grille.

o Supper Club 3.18 (Full – 10 guests)
o Sunday Brunch 3.20
o Nashville Nights 3.25 (250 guests. Down from 350 due to
weather)
-Feedback: It was nice to have the MVL and 1915 Grille so well
staffed for dining before. We are looking forward to our next

o Salvestrin Wine Dinners 4.13 & 4.14 (39 guests) (37 guests)
-We were able to contact the waitlist from the previous dinner to
give them priority for this reservation.
o Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch 4.16 & 4.17 (Egg Hunt – 480
registered. Brunch had 875 guests and a 230-person waitlist)
1. 2021 vs 2022 counts. Significant growth over the prior
years. This can also be attributed to Easter falling during
Spring Break the past few years.
2. Mother’s Day reservations went much more smoothly by
implementing a call que and online reservations.
3. There was a threat of rain and the Egg Hunt was moved
indoors. The Grab & Go Breakfast was in the MVL and the
hunt was divided into ballrooms by age.

-This event went well. We are looking forward to hosting this at
the Pool on June 11th.

Meeting Date: April 19, 2022 5:30pm.
In Attendance: Al Martin, Kevin Wilson, Wes Sebaugh, Paul Phillips,
Cheryl Dermon, Parker Gilbert
Staff Present: Mark Hayes, Daniel Laterza
ACTION ITEMS: 1. N/A
I. Superintendent Update: Mark Hayes
• The fertilizer truck was here the first of April and fertilized the entire
course.
• Course is growing in nicely. It needs heat. Shady areas are struggling
but should continue to improve.
▪ We are seeing signs of winter kill in areas of shade and will need
to sod these areas to repair them. This is not uncommon to
happen in these areas.
▪ Tee Boxes on hole #6 are in very bad shape due to shade.
▪ Holes #13 and #14 have similar shade issues.
▪ Foot traffic from increased golf play is also an attributing factor.
▪ To solve this problem, we will use a machine called a Turf Planer
which will level the service and then we will install new sod.
▪ This sodding was not done sooner due to playability concerns
and lack of availability of healthy sod.
• The azaleas behind #17 have bloomed so we will now cut them back to
clean them up.
• Projects on holes #1, #18, #5, and #6 are almost done. 3 trucks of sod
were installed by our Grounds crew in these areas to replace pine beds.
• One of our two new Greens Rollers is here. The other one could still
take months to come in. The new one is very nice.
• Plans are to limb up Pines on holes #2, #3, #17 and #13 this next week.
• We cleaned up hole #13 all along left side to remove overgrown plants.
• We are edging and mowing the bunkers in addition to checking the sand
depth to make sure they are ready for tournament season.
• We are changing out all the winter flowers to summer annuals.
• We hired a designer for the landscaping plan adjacent to the front door
and the pool pavilion. Will be planting these new plants in the next few
weeks.
GR1
II. Winter Maintenance Project update: We should be able to finish the planned list in the
next 4-6 weeks.
III. The Drainage Project is in full swing. Holes #12 and #13 are complete. Next, we will be
working on #14, #15, #2, and #8 tee box.
IV. Flags and Tee Markers: finally ordered the flags: should be here any day
V. Creek Bank on hole #13: still working with contractors to get pricing to repair
VI. Divot party: Tuesday May 3rd, Mark will send out the announcement.
VII. Capital Budget Review. Mark showed the committee the proposed capital budget for
2022-23 and showed them what is being discussed for the 5-year plan.
VIII. An Intern has been hired for the summer and a few summer employees that are ready
to start.
IX. 2021-2022 Member/Guest is May 12-14. Member/Guest preparations have already
begun.
X. Discussed Turf Planing the tees on May 16th. We will sod tees after Turf Planing machine
has done it’s job.
XI. Discussion:
a. We need to get a couple of newsletters out for communications: one for drainage
and one for the all-around state of the grounds for 2022.
b. A request to slightly move the air hose where you clean off shoes behind clubhouse.

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
I. Approval of March Minutes Approval of the minutes was motioned and
unanimously seconded.
II. IT Report
• Jonas Update: Karen attended a Webinar on Jonas features and upcoming
projects. We do not believe that the texting asset will benefit us at this time due
to the monthly text limit.
III. Communication
• Video Updates: Replacement of Weekly Articles. Updates will be sent when we
have announcements to make. Weekly Video update, tips and information will be
sent out with the week’s calendar.
• Member Profile Campaign
o We have seen profile updates come through with each reminder we sent
out.
o Many people have reached out to get login information on the new
app/website that had not previously set it up before.
o Dress Code – Coming this week as it is finalized for the Pool Pavilion
• Large Event Registration Communication
Mother’s Day: We clearly outlined the appropriate routes of making a
reservation to avoid confusion. This also clearly outlined to avoid voicemails and
calling multiple departments. We have had trouble with Members not reading the
communication on how to make reservations and then they end up on the waitlist
so this is something we sent multiple emails on. Our new Holiday Brunch
Reservation Process consists of online reservation and a phone-in option which
provides a calling que where Members can wait in the order they called to make
it fair. This process seemed to work much more smoothly and we received great
feedback on the process.
IV. Chairman’s Report
