Aeschylus - He is considered the father of tragic
Greek drama. He created many famous tragedy
plays. His plays survived and are still here.
Sophocles - Wrote many tragedy plays too. Famous
for adding third actors for more conflict. Came after
Aeschylus, his plays survived as well.

Socrates - Famous for teaching Plato. Founded
western philosophy
Plato - Famous for teaching Aristotle. Founded the
Academy in Athens
Aristotle - Famous for teaching Alexander the
Great. Made contributions to logic, metaphysics,
math, physics, biology, botany, ethics, politics and
more
Mathematics
Euclid - He is the father of geometry. Created
Euclid's Elements.
Pythagoras - He created the Pythagoras Theorem
with right triangles. a2 + b2 = c2
Science
Hippocrates - He is the father of medicine. He was a
Greek physician who discovered how diet effects
health.
Archimedes – He has a principle that deals with
buoyant force. He was a Greek mathematician. He’s
considered one of the leading scientists in classical
antiquity.
Architecture
Phidias – He was a Greek sculptor who worked on
the Parthenon. His Zeus sculptor is one of the seven
wonders of the ancient world.
History
Thucydides – He was a Greek historian who wrote
about the Peloponnesian wars.
Herodotus – He is considered the father of history.
He recorded things about the Peloponnesian war.
Poetry
Homer – He wrote the Odyssey and the Iliad.
Created the basis for ancient Grecian literature.
