Super Sayulita
By J Mossholder
Lots of people like to travel to Cancun and Cabo but I
would recommend Sayulita. People think it’s a great place
to visit. I think it’s an amazing place.
If you go on the trip be prepared to leave your house
very early in the morning. I had to wake up at 3:50 in the
morning if you leave from Austin, Texas. Be prepared for
the security line to be long.
The flight might not be a direct flight but if it’s not it
won’t take long anyways. It will only be 2 hours and 30
minutes. I drove from the airport to Sayulita because it was
only 45 minutes.
If you stay at Villa Amor be
prepared for the hotels to
have names like Pacifico and Las Flores. Las Flores is mostly
outside and open to the outdoors. Pacifico is more closed in
and it feels more like home.
One must-see in
Sayulita is the beach.
We played soccer in
the light gold sand.
My dad taught me
how to surf and we
can rent a surfboard.
There are very good
waves.
We can also go zip lining
and it is so fun. The first one
is really high and it is in the
mountains. The second to last
zip line I think was the best,
it was the longest and we go
sprayed with water!
We can rent a golf cart to all
drive around the area. We can do go
sorts of things with it like explore,
to the beach, and get up to our
hotel with it.

. Alcatraz. Alcatraz is a very
hardcore prison. It is a small
island in the middle of the San
Francisco Bay. The water is
freezing cold. There is an audio
tour.
. Whale Watching. If you did whale
watching, you might see blue whales,
Humpbacks, and dolphins. I saw a pod
of 200 dolphins.
. Eating Mounds of Seafood.
In Fisherman’s Wharf there is this
amazing restaurant. My parents ordered this huge plate of
seafood, and it was like heaven for my mom.
. The Exploratorium. Number 2 is
the Exploratorium. It has awesome
stuff that you can do. It is huge! You
can make these metal balls that
move like a snake. There is a cone
that blows air and there is this
beach ball that you can put on the
cone to make it hover.
. Academy of Sciences. The
most interesting of all five was
the Academy of Sciences. They
have an albino alligator, and
they have penguins. You can
watch animals like the
penguins and the otters being
fed. Then if you walk up the
stairs you could go to the living
roof.

Austin has lots of fun things but these are really my favorite things
which I think you will like them too.
1- BLAZER TAG
In the front of Blazer Tag it has a gray space ship and the building is
green. Inside Blazer
Tag, there are lots of
arcade games & a gift
shop where you use
tickets to buy cool toys
and sweets. And finally
you can play laser tag and
they will show you how to
play and show you a video
of the rules. There is a
rule about no running at
Blazer Tag, but this rule
isn’t usually enforced.
2- Zilker Park in downtown Austin is open to the world. It has a small
train which you can ride around the park and the park across from
Zilker. The playground is so much fun.
It has an old fire truck and some
musical instruments on one side of the
playground. The train goes under one
of the playground bridges, which is fun
for the kids riding and fun for the kids
on the bridge. Very near to the
playground is Barton Springs swimming
pool. The
pool is really
long and not
very wide.
It’s best to go
on a hot day
because the water can be really cold.
3- Texican
The Texican is a Tex-Mex restaurant that you can only find in
Texas. It has lots of T.Vs. It has an upper level where you can see
some of the lower level but not all of it. The food is really good, and I
recommend the quesadilla for kids.
Best Things to Do in Port
Aransas, Texas
Take a ferry across the sea.
You can take the ferry from Corpus
Christi to Port Aransas. It was beautiful,
because the water was so blue. The
ferry moves kind of slowly, and the
waves were really bumpy so we didn’t
see any fish. It’s very enjoyable to step
outside of your car and enjoy the fresh
salty sea air after a long drive.
Eat at the Back Porch
We went to the Back Porch Restaurant,
which is a lovely restaurant to eat at and you can fish from
their dock. They have huge
fish off their dock. The food
was wonderful, and I
recommend the fish and chips.
The batter was beautifully
made and crunchy. Be sure to
order some food at the little
hut. There is no restaurant,
just breeze and sunset on the
relaxing patio.
See the Dolphins
There were no huge fish there were just
dolphins which I thought was cool. I saw
tons of dolphins from the pier. When see
you them you will want to tell your family.
Once I saw the baby, and I called him
Lorry. The adults I called Spark and Derek.
This is a red snapper Go to the Beach
Some of the beaches are really nice.
We were at the Sea Sail beach,
which I wouldn’t recommend after
a storm or high wind. It had lots of
jellyfish and lots of golf carts that go
by. But other than that it was fine
but really cold because of the spring
season. There was also lots of tides.
Fish from the Pier
You can fish from the pier. You can
buy or rent a fishing pole. I
recommend coming at night so you
can catch humongous fish. The small
fish come out in the afternoon and
so do dolphins. When it’s raining
there will be no fish. I would not go
on spring break because of the
weather maybe the weather will be
good next year.
Four Fantastic Things to
Do In Concan, Texas
By Nolan
Tubing
Concan is a resort right on the Frio River, which is a
really amazing river. One of the most exciting things to
do here is tubing on the river. There are tubes that you
can rent or buy in two sizes. Be aware…there are LOTS
of rapids. It’s better to go tubing in warmer weather
because the water is really cold.
Rent a Cabin
Concan has a lot of different cabins you can rent. My
cabin looked old yet futuristic. It had lots of equipment,
and we had a gate leading right to the river!
Hiking
It was 4 things: rocky, beautiful, steep, and fun! My
parents liked it too. You should bring a fist aid-kit in
case you fall because some parts are steep and
rough.
Play in the Frio River
The Frio River itself is fun, too. You can break rocks, have water fights, and swim
in warmer weather. Some people fish, but I don’t think there are many fish near
the resort.
