Banquet bars are sold as either a Consumption Bar or Per Person Package and billed accordingly.
Consumption Bars are inventoried at the conclusion of the function and charged on the basis of 25
drinks per liter bottle.
Per Person Packages are charged on guaranteed attendance for a predetermined period of
time for everyone over the age of 21.

Catering Policies
effective january 3, 2017
Sawgrass Country Club is one of Northeast Florida’s premier Country Clubs with elegant sur-
roundings and warm hospitality. With over thirty years of experience, our catering staff prides it-
self on exceptional cuisine and incomparable service. Members may hold private functions, provided
they are scheduled to avoid conflict with normal club activity. Non-members must be sponsored by
a Member or approved by the Board of Governors.
1. The Club will entertain requests by Members to sponsor a private function within
eighteen (18) months from the date of request, subject to prior scheduling. Non-members spon-
sored by a Member of SCC may request to hold a function within twelve months from the date
of request. All arrangements must be made with the catering manager. A 100% credit will ap-
ply to the Member’s food minimum for food only for a member event. Where a non-member
function is approved by the Board with out a sponsoring member, the non-member will be re-
quired to complete the special information form as a condition of obtaining Board approval.
2. Members or sponsored non-members may reserve rooms for private functions, subject to
prior scheduling. All arrangements must be made with the Catering Manager. The following restric-
tions will apply:
a. Golf Clubhouse
i. The Atrium and Sawgrass Room may be booked at anytime, subject to the Club function
schedule.
ii. The Grille Room and Champion’s Room may be booked for functions as long as alternate food
and beverage arrangements can be made in place of the usual Club function schedule.
b. Beach Club
i. The Topsider Lounge and Oasis Deck may be booked only at times
other than published regular hours of operation.
ii. Ocean’s Edge, Ocean’s Edge South, South Patio and Living Room are available for lunch
events Monday through Sunday (until 3:30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and in the
evening for Member or sponsored non-member events Monday through Thursday year
round. Saturdays may be reserved for Member or non-member events up to 10 times per year.
During the peak season months of March, April, May, and June, Saturday evening events and events
on consecutive Saturdays require approval by the Board of Governors. Topsider and Oasis Deck
must always be available to the Membership during any Ocean’s Edge, Ocean’s Edge South and Liv-
ing Room event closure if regular dining hours are scheduled. Any exceptions to the above must be
approved by the Board of Governors.
iii. Pavilion - Available between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm for ceremonies and only one Saturday or
Sunday per weekend. Not available during peak season months of March, April, May, or June.
iv. Athletic Facilities: Adult Pool, Family Pool, Pro Shop Patio, Chipping Green,
Driving Range and Racquet Club may be booked at management discretion, sub-
ject to the Club function schedule and the normal operating hours of the specific facility.

3. Members sponsoring a private function, and Members sponsoring a private function on behalf
of a non-member will be responsible for the conduct and any damage by the party or any agent of the
party (i.e., decorators, musicians, etc.). The Member will be required to be in attendance at the event.
The sponsoring Member will also be financially responsible for the full payment of services rendered
by the Club. A non-member, sponsored by a Member, will be required to pay 100% of the estimated
cost of the function seven days prior to the event. If payment of any balance due has not been received
by the end of the second billing cycle the sponsoring member will be held financially responsible.
4. A non-member event approved by the Board must be paid for at least seven days pri-
or to the event. Payment terms, including the initial deposit, will follow guidelines es-
tablished for banquet and wedding receptions. The Chairman of the House Commit-
tee will be the official sponsor to the Board of Governors of such events. The Chairman will
not be held responsible for the conduct nor the financial performance of the non-member.
5. Full credit will apply to the Member’s food minimum for food portions of Member ban-
quets, such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or holiday parties. Members do not qualify for
this credit for non-family sponsored events, such as corporate events, non family weddings, etc.
6. To assure compliance with Federal and State laws governing the Club’s private sta-

vate function, their own or someone else’s, with over eight guests. Where a non-member
function is approved by the Board without a sponsoring member, the non-member will be re-
quired to complete the special information form as a condition of obtaining Board approval.
7. The responsibility of a Member under this Catering Policy is in addition
to the responsibilities of a Member as outlined in the Bylaws and in the Member-
ship Rules and Responsibilities. The Board of Governors may in its sole discretion pro-
hibit functions even though they comply with the requirements of this Catering Policy.
8. The following room minimums will apply for any function:

Provided, however, that on a Monday or Tuesday, the minimum for any portion of the Beach Club is
$8,000. If the minimum is not met, the difference between the food and beverage charges (less tax
and gratuity) and the minimum will be charged as a room rental fee.
