Charles was more than just a coworker to me. He was more like family to me. I met Charles many years ago
before I started working for CCBL through a family member of mines’. Never in a million years did I think he
would be my trainer. I will never forget training on the no. 6 line leaving the airport. He would say “come on
Shawn turn this baby, put some muscle into it.” I’m laughing because he stayed with jokes. Mind you, back
then we were rolling 4500’s with no power steering, but I made it happen. I don’t care what time of day it was,
he was always there for me, my family and friends. As the years passed my mom and friend started calling
Charles, Prentiss, Prentiss was my dad, R.I.P. They looked, talked and acted alike, sharp on any occasion with
shoes shined and ready to go. Charles remembered birthdays, and always sent Christmas holiday cards, he was
on point, he never forgot dates. Charles was a hard working family oriented man. He was one of a kind and you
will truly be missed. I love you with all my heart, until we meet again.
– Love, La Shawn, your sister from another mother.
