Summarize
Chapters 1-8

In chapters 1-8 of Tuck Everlasting, it describes how Winnie Foster meets the Tucks.
In chapter one Winnie lives in an overprotective house in the village of Treegap with
her parents and grandmother.Their house is on the edge of the woods they own but
never go into.in chapter two The Tucks are getting excited to see their sons whom
they have not seen in ten years. Mae is heading off to meet them, but they say that
she has to be careful not to be seen. She does not look in the mirror before she goes
because it says she has looked the same for the past 87 years. May takes along her
music box as she goes off to meet her sons.in chapter three Winnie has a
conversation with a toad. She talks about how hard her life is and she decides to run
away. In Chapter four That night Winnie heads out to her yard and meets a stranger
walking by who asks her about the woods and the people she knows in the area. He
tells her that he is looking for a family. Winnie’s grandmother comes out to tell Winnie
to go inside. Just then some music is heard in the woods. The grandmother says it is
the elf music she hasn’t heard in years. Winnie thinks it sounds like a music box and
the stranger is very interested in it.in chapter five winnie goes to explore the wood
and looks for the toad also she meets jesse. In chapter six winnie talks to the three
tucks. In chapter seven winnie doesn't believe the story. In chapter eight she hangs
out with the tucks and she sees the stranger again.

Chapters 9-17

In chapter 9-17, it describes winnies journey with the tuck´s.

In chapter nine Winnie and the tucks go to the tucks house. In
chapter ten she was comparing and exploring the tucks house to
her house. In chapter eleven they ate dinner and winnie realized
how differ rent it was. In chapter twelve Winnie and tuck were
talking about the life cycle. In chapter thirteen the stranger goes
to the fosters house. In chapter fourteen jesse asked winnie to
drink the water and get married.In chapter fifteen the stranger
talks and tries to make a deal with the fosters. In sixteen the
stranger goes to the constable to talk about how the tucks took
winnie but the constable did not care. In chapter seventeen miles
and winnie got in a boat to get breakfast .
